protein bar replacment meal

wannaBbuff

New member
6 cups cooked brown rice
3 cups cooked soy grits(these have 22grams of protein per 1/4 cup uncooked and they cost about 2 dollars a lb.)
20 egg whites(diced or chopped)
6-7 boiled chicken breast(diced or chopped)
mix it all together and you have a protein golash that is a very easy meal. it has something like 30 grams of protein per cup
i make a large batch like this and it last me several days. it is also pretty much fat free.
i am sick of paying more for protein supplements than i would for AS, so i conjured this up.:)

Nice work. I am working on a protein bar myself. The first batch which I used equal was aweful.. I will keep you posted... I am using oatmeal, Optimum whey, egg whites, molasses (trying to find a substitute, and bits of ground up strawberrys. .. Ill let you know how it works out.

have you heard of a sweetner called stevia? as far as i know it has no suagar and is all natural not a chemical. i beleive it is made from a root. anyway, it is actually pretty sweet and doesn't have the after taste of aspertame. i have a family member who uses it and loves the stuff. maybe that would work.
