Proscar And Minexidol!!!

I went to the Doctors on Monday about my receding hair line. Now he prescribed me Proscar at 2 tabs per day and 5% Minexidol to apply to the hair loss area twice a day as well. Just wondering if anyone has taken these or either one before and the outcome of it. He told me to take it for 6 months and then to go back and see him but he also said that what has been lost will not come back??

u are on proscar or propecia

proscar is 5mg, he has you on 10mg of finasterdine a day, that seems like alot

You are prob taking 1MG Propecia not 5MG proscar.

He is right, regrowth is unlikely but it is possible. Minoxidil can stimulate regrowth. There are also reports of regrowth from finasteride (proscar and propecia).

Most of use have to be happy with just slowing down the MPB.

Sorry guys my mistake. It is 1mg Propecia twice a day and 5% Minexidol solution applied twice a day to the area lost!! So no type of regrowth could be possible?? I am not expecting full thick hairs just some type of growth whatever it may be??

A few get dense regrowth others slight regrowth and most just a slow down of hairloss.

I hope your doc explained shedding during the first few months of starting Minox and finasteride. Some people freak out and stop the treatment before it has a chance to work.

No he didnt explain any shedding/hair loss. Does what I loose while on gone forever or come back during the process?? What am I supposed to expect and what should I look forward to as in a positive aspect??

go to the propecia web site http://www.propecia.com and take a look at the patient and physician info, it can take 3 months to stop hair loss; http://www.proscar.com may have some more info too.
