EF board mod Mike DiMaggio wrapped up his Bar studies last week and took the grueling, dreaded test. He won't know if he passed until November. Let's give props to a warrior and wish him great luck!

Congrats Mike!

Dang, it takes 3 months to get test results? :)

Zygla:

With six essays to grade, it's a miracle that the results are posted by Thanksgiving. It's rather anti-climactic; you soon discover that you were getting anxious over nothing.

Soon, you will join the ranks of the elite... well... you'll join the ranks of the most intelligent and at the same time most idiotic bunch of fellas on the face of the planet. :)

I have no doubt you passed the test, under the expert tutilige of Rick Collins. I am taking the CA bar in Feb... AGAIN... LOL ... hope I will pass it this time. Already have IL under my belt... would like to have the big CA under it too.

Thanks to all for the words of encouragement!

Citruscide... Good luck with the CA bar. Hey, it's the toughest exam in the country..................next to New York :p (Just bustin' balls)

LOL -- It really isn't THAT hard of a test... the material isn't bad at all... it's just you need like a 73% to pass the fucker! :)

Are you taking the attorney's exam? With a certificate of good standing from another jurisdiction, and after making the appropriate application, CA will waive the MPRE and MBE. That only leaves the CA portion and practical part. It's still a two day exam nontheless.

I have to be an attorney of good standing for 4+ years, I was licensed in IL in Nov 2001.

I admire your willingness to tackle the MBE again rather than wait another two years...or rather I question your sanity. lol

Maybe you've forgotten that it is an exam created by the "Almighty Bar Examiners" in which they attempt to mindfuck you by supplying two potentially correct answers to most questions (sometimes more), and requiring you to choose the "best" answer (or in other words...read their minds).

Just an FYI...

During the course of my BarBri review classes I was told the following three things:

1. If there is an evidence question regarding "habit evidence," it will be clear that the conduct in question will be admissible as evidence of "habit."

Well there was a question and it was vague, extremely vague.

2. There is rarely a Constitutional Law question dealing with "Taxing."

Well there were two!

3. There is rarely a Rule Against Perpetuities question.

Well it might have been the correct answer to a Multistate question but I still am not sure.

Anyway...good luck my friend. As you can see, I'm still unwinding. :p :p :p

aaahhh...that damn property law...rule against perpetuities bs...

1.5 years to go for me...and then i gotta go through that shit...

I'm out-of-town with very limited web access for the rest of the week. My thanks to C-Ditty, Roid Warrior and Mike D. for your excellent posts! Please keep it up!
