Prop question

Need advice, Shot 2cc prop and 1 cc TEST En in upper thigh, saturday night, thigh is now swolen up like a balloon, red all over front I have had an abcess before and this is not the same. Any ideas, heat only seems to help temporarily, cold doesn't work at all it is hard to even stand or walk I have used prop in the thigh before, painful, but not this bad however this is 200mg/ml prop so maybe thats it, any ideas to get swelling down,?? Anybody else had same experience??

Probably just the alcohol content in the prop, sometimes when i shoot in the thigh the pain is sickening other times moderate to none. If you used your usual source the gear being sterile probably isnt a problem, more then likely just hit a spot that has more nerve endings then usual or like i said just the high alcohol content ...... hehe sucks for you =)

Get some antibiotics.

I can't think of the medical term, it might be edemia, don't flame if I'm wrong.
Basically it's not an abcess, but the tissue has become inflamed from internal bleeding, bruising, or leakage of some sort. It still can get infected, and the fact that its red and swollen indicates it could be.
Go to the doctor, they will treat it as cellulitis, act stupid and say I don't know what happened, and they will give you antibiotics for it.

I also have to add this, the fact that you shot 3 mls is probably the problem. Don't shoot as much next time. Last time I shot 3 mls of prop and cyp I was at the doctors with a shoulder and arm twice as big as the other side.

May try the antibiotics I have penicillin on hand, to try first, Its GTP test prop 200mg/ml which is always good stuff and not unreasonable on the BA at least on their 100mg.It may be the area and the fact its 200mg prop. after all. I've never done 3ccs of 200mg in one spot. using a heating pad now and its sore as shit, live and learn.

Err lol I doubt it bro it sounds pretty normal to me, your gonna have this guy up all night praying to god he doesn't die now hehe. There really isnt anything to bleed or leak in your upper thigh, the prime directive of the 3 special spots is very small amount of nerve endings, few if any veins in the area, and deep muscle tissue. Just put some ice on it rather then heat and dont worry about it stretching also helps. If you were rubbing/ massaging the area that can also cause redness / irritation. 200mg of prop hurts (period) and 3 mg shot in 1 spot hurts a wee bit too especially if your legs arent real thick..

I thought this meant 3 mls. 200mg/ml prop just sounds scary.

At any rate use your penicillin, though you may need something stronger.

Red and swollen = possible infection.

Your advice might have him geting really ill. Mine errs on the side of caution. And there are a lot of veins and tissue you hit when stabbing yourself. Why else would he be red and swollen and in pain if something wasn't wrong? Taking an antibiotic is only using common sense. If he went to a doctor he would get antibiotics. What does that tell you? Massaging an infection isn't going to do a damn thing, Apparantly you've never been lucky enough to have one.
I've had it happen to twice, and this is what the doctors told me.

Of course ive never had an infection my gear is straight from the pharmacy , i always use plenty of alcohol and never use a needle twice as well as sterilizing my hands and such with hand sanitiser. If you have had 2 infections stop washing your ass with toilet water and dont have dr. kevorkian do the injection. Hehe all joking aside you may be right, i can only speak from experience and its somthing that has not happened and will not happen to myself. But like i said pain and swelling isnt abnormal with 200mg of prob especially when he added 1 mg of test on top in that same spot.

I can agree that amount of gear might be the problem. But the bodies reaction to that amount can result in the same thing, an infection, though because of a different problem, not the lack of sterilization but a foriegn susbstance accompanied with any damage from the injection itself.
Bottom line is, if he goes to a doc and shows it to him or her, the doc is not going to tell him to massage it.
With minor pain, yes, try massaging it. Red and swollen or hot, get it looked at.

Is coming down now with a hard knot in the thigh I have come to associate with oil based steroids, massaging was not a bright idea, the cold he advocated reduced the inflammation enough for a good cardio workout today, last time I shoot that much prop at once or in one spot
