projector for my room?

im thinking about buying a toshiba projector to watch tv and play games and shit. anyone here do this? how did it turn out for you?

Most I've seen are noisy and creat a lot of heat. After hours of use, a small room can get pretty warm.

I have a buddy that has one in his appartment and it rocks. It's like being in a fighter jet or car. My only advice is to pick one up with a high contrast ratio. Usually the higher the ratio the higher the cost.

Compaq projectors are amazing, but not cheap.

Buy one and return it, that's how I tested them out. Get one with the best options. 1G is a price at the local store for a nice one.

I bought 2 at the same time at Circuit City, the manager was gonna give me free warranty just to keep the two things. I thought about it but then said fuck it, I said no and I dont want them. I dont feel bad, cuz most salesmen are dicks.

Oh yeah, one more thing. The reason I bought it at Circuit City is cause they dont have a "restocking fee" like Best Buy does. 15%my ass.

you wouldnt happen to live in houston would you? i have never seen a circuit city outside houston....
