Problems uploading pics to gallery

It will not let me upload any photos right now. I keep getting the "please wait, cleaning out gallery" and then it does not upload from my computer. Is there a maximum amount of photos a non-platinum member can have. There are alot of people with ALOT more pics than I have. (22)
