Problems sleeping

I have NO problems falling asleep, but then it hits.....I wake up prob. every 1.5-2 hours, either to piss, or because I'm thirsty as hell. No, I don't have diabetes, been tested. No other illness/sickness, it's just because I train late and I drink coffee/water all day. Yes, I've tried to stop by 4-5pm, and this doesnt do it either. So, is the really detrimental to my gains? I plan my next cyc. and dont want anything to be out of wack that would effect me.......Hell, should I eat something when I wake up, since I'm up anyways?
 
I don't know what the pissing could be other than possible and enlarged prostate and/ or your body could be under some kind of stress...so it is holding on to a little more water than usual, but then when you go to sleep, it feels a tension release and it wants to release the water. If you can get some Ambien (if you want to take it) then you will have the best sleep of your life. If you only get 5 hours of sleep while on Ambien, you still feel totally rested!
 
I use nonaddictive otc sleep aids. They are cheap and fairly effective
 
Where do you get ambium? Script only?? I dont think meds will work.......If I gotta piss, I gotta piss..........is this pretty detrimentaL? Anything out there that will tell your body you dont have to piss? Lol.....AND I dont wannt wake up to wet sheets!
 
Ambien is script only and it can be hard on the liver so I would'nt mess with it.

Benzos work well...ie valium, xanax, ativan. You can get these from a doc...just tell them you have high anxiety and stress at work. But you have to be careful about the addictive potential.

Valerian root works a little.

GHB works the best but that's out for the obvious reasons.

Did you try curtailing your water consumption as the day goes on? I know that sounds obvious but it worked for me.
 
How much water do you drink in the day? LIke me...I'm in bed by 10pm. So I have to stop drinking water at around 8pm. Then I either don't wake up to pee and if I do...its only once and thats it.

I have this EXACT same problem. Not close to it, but the EXACT same thing. I have been to the dr. because of it, and had blood work done to see if anything was out of wack. Nothing.

He gave me a script for Trazadone (SP) which works great. Ambien works great also, but is addictive and can make you dependant, the one I am on does not.

DOn't drink anything past 7-8pm and piss right before bed. Take 1 trazadone and you will sleep good. OVer the couner Tylenol PM works decent too until you can get to the dr.

If you are losing weight (fat), then you may pee more frequently - you are losing ketones and sodium in urine.
Men don't get urinary tract infections frequently, but it does happen. It usually is accompanied by burning when you pee. If it also burns, then also think about sexually transmitted diseases.

That is a good point. I started a TKD diet a couple of weeks ago and noticed that I was pissing all the time...

As far as sleep, I take ZMA which works well, but if I am really haveing problems I will take 300mcg of Melatonin.

I still get up at about 4am to take a piss though...

Hey Jkurz1 I get up to piss a lot too and it got to the point where it pissed me off because my sleep was getting interrupted. I have been wanting to try a drug called Minirin (Desmopressin) for quite some time now because it decreases the production of urine at night so you can sleep a full night through. I'm trying to get my doc to write me a script so I can try it at least. I'll let you know if it works. You can read about it here:

BTW...I noticed that OTC drugs like Simply Sleep do make me pee more. And I do wake up quite often to pee and notice a dry mouth. That is why I don't take them shits anymore.
