Problem with international supplier

New member
I had a problem with a international delivery a while back that I thought was a controled drop. It turns out it might not of been. I'm still not sure on what happened 100% except I have no ASS and I'm out some money.

I don't have access to a lot of hot connections so it was really hard for me to find a ASS source. I finally found an online open source forum ( ya I can hear some of you calling me a dumbass now lol). I found this website that is based out of Romania and had some seemingly realiable refrences.

The website was pretty informative and they said a lot of good things on the website. Like "no minimum order so you could test them" and "discreet shipping" and "not having to sign for orders". The last one is key, "not having to sign for orders". This is how I was expecting my order to come, but it turns out they sent it registered in the end without notifying me the change of their shipping proceedure.

First off they didn't send a friendly heads up email letting me know when my package got shipped anyway. Almost thought I got ripped off right away due to the delay of a few days or a response after I sent money western union. After a few days I finally got an email back with an estimation when it was going out.

Then about 10 days later my package came. The postal person rang my apartment buzzer telling me to come get my package. I figured it must just be too big to fit in the box so I went down to get it.

First thing weird I noticed is the postal woman is not my regular postal person. Or any of the fill-ins I have seen over the past 5 years. She really had that "cop" Cagney & Lacey look to her so right away I didn't feel right. Then she tells me I have to sign for my package due to it being registered!

This hit me like a ton a bricks because I was expecting my package to come "discreetly and not having to sign for it" like my source's website stated so thoughts of paranoia start run through my mind of a controled drop. So I end up refusing it.

I email my source and it turns out he did send it registered... Though his website states they don't send it registered. He then says they send it registered during the holidays till March?!?! Would of been nice for him to let me know the change of this shipping proceedure before I got the package - I would of requested it not to be sent registered in any case. I would much rather risk losing a package in the shipping process then sign away my legal rights by signing for a ASS package.

A couple things though don't seem right to me. I work in the shipping industry, and the weeks after x-mas till March is some of our deadest time of the year. And even if he had problems with mail getting lost - what is the point of registering it anyway? Is he going to file a lost package claim for the smuggled package of ASS? LOL

My soruce ends up not really caring and basicly tells me tough shit my loss. Which doesn't surprise me much except their website really makes it sound like they go the extra mile for their customers.

Luckily it wasn't that much money since my first order was a test order, and in the end I'm happy it wasn't a controled drop and I'm not in jail.

But I think my address is going to get flagged now because I refused the package and the return address is fake so eventually they are going to open it. So no more international for me I guess. Time to go the mooo route heh.

Anything from outside of the USA has to be signed for. Registered or not. I recieved a package from Canada that wasn't registered. I asked why I had to sign for the package and the lady told me it was from outside of the USA.

Correct you are.

Ya I know for a fact that regular airmail you don't have to sign for.

Besides - it was sent registered and the source's own website said they don't send anything you have to sign for.

That is bullshit. I have had many things sent from Italy to USA (not aas) and I have never signed for any of them.

I think it depends on the carrier too, some companies like TNT (smaller) might REQUIRE a sig, but I know USPS if sig. is waived via EMS, you don't have to sign for it; UPS I know has some requirements and some loop-holes, same w/ DHL.

Very sloppy and unprofessional for your source to blindside you like that. Some International sources do this because by signing they can verify that you received the pack so they can cut down on reverse scammers. A good source will look out for the safety of his customers. His "X-mas to March" explanation makes no sense whatsoever.

all EMS mail MUST be signed for.
some private carriers require sig also.

I wonder why he keeps writing ASS? Subconscious creeping out?

Yes it should have been made clear to you that it was being shipped registered, although if you didn't specifically request what king of shipping you wanted so I fail to see how you can blame the source.

And all you have to do is look at the package and would notice if it was sent registered mail anyway.

I think I know who you're talking about, and they've always served me well.

Just telling you what the lady at the post office told me. Maybe she meant it was just my package that needed to be signed for because it was from outside the US. I asked thats what she told me. Assuming if I had to everyone else should have to also. Correct? Maybe not. But bullshitting I wasn't. Thats the word from the horses mouth.

I, not telling you that your lying, im just tellling you that your wrong.

Calling Bullshit is exactly calling someone a liar. Telling someone you must be mistaken, or the P.O. lady lied to you, or showing post office doctorine to prove (teach) to me that they told me wrong is totally different. Just a different perspective.

I don't think your address is flagged, us people wouldn't have opened it, they sent it back to romania-the romanians will detrmine the address is fake and then they will throw it away.

This is taken off their webiste:

""No tracking number with us.Tracking numbers mean that the package is registered and in this line of work this is bad."

"U don t have to sign for the package. Our packaging methods are very safe and discreet."

It's pretty straight forward and says in retard-internet english how they send their stuff. A simple email notifying me before they shipped letting me know of the change could of prevented this. And if they would of emailed me before they shipped it I still would rather have it non-registered and risk a loss than sign away my legal rights.
