Problem with heavy skullcrushers....

I train alone at home.

I use an ez curl bar for SC's.

I have gotten to the point where getting into position for sc's is not safe anymore.

I use the "catch" on my bench (if you follow) to rest the bar on and then lift it and move into position in one movement.

I can't add any more weight(wont fit) and I can't figure out a way to safely move the weight into position.

Any suggestions???

What exactly are you asking here?

When I do SC's I just pick the bar up from the floor right in front of me, then lay back and swing the bar into postion.

Do you have a normal bench? Just use the bar..

I do skullcrushers with the same bar I bench with. Makes it easy to do heavy weight, unrack and rack it when you're done..

I don't understand what you mean by it being not safe. How do you set up. I clean the weight up then sit and lay down on the bench. Press the weight up into position and start repping.

What type of plates are you using on the EZ bar??

The EZ bar is capable of handling 300lbs or better.
