"Probally"

I'm acquainted with Wisconsin. They say "prolly." She's just weird.

I grew up in rural Nebraska.......while I do pronounce creek like crick, and I say ya'll (dad was from tx), I've always said probably the right way...
lol crick that makes me laugh

my parents have a large wooded lot with a creek behind it but in my family we refer to it as a CREEP because thats what my son called it when he was little (3)

Um. she's from Milwaukee born and raised.

Yeah, I started thinking about it and was like, "hmm... yeah, Smurfy's probally right."

I still like the two-syllable prob'bly.

God, I hope I don't say probally. I'm pretty sure I don't stretch it out to three syllables.

:cow:

LOL, when I was a little kid, I called moss and seaweed GREEP, and my grandparents called it that ever since...

But with the pronounciation thing, if I was in an interview I would conciously make sure I pronounced things right.

I was interviewing someone for a Supervisor position in our call center (phone interview) and she used this pronunciation of the word probably. Would you be disturbed by this? She's from the midwest so perhaps their dialect is a little more relaxed and different?

you already know my answer.

so you don't even have to axe.

midwest slang, nope.

lied on resume - possibly.
eh? i didnt get the feeling she lied about her resume (17 yrs working for Midwest Airlines Customer Service). She's a good candidate, just a weird pronunciation of the word that i noticed lol
