Pro Tan Question

Is there a point where your skin just won't absorb any more protan?? Hubby painted me with my 5th coat tonite & it kept streaking & not being absorbed.

I think it could also be from me taking an epsom salts bath (did so per Fred).

Thoughts??

(I'm hoping some bronzer tomorrow will even things out)

NOt sure about pro tan but I use a lot of fake tanners including spray and it seems like the first few times it comes out great but if you havent exfoliated as well that it comes out kind of darker in other spots. And of course if you are adding color on top of color thats probably what it is.

sorry to read your post until today... didn't heard about that case in protan, but you can try the bronzer or some dream tan.... anyhow let us know how it came.

Using the bronzer on top helped.

And I was told by the guy running the show that the slight streaking is natural & won't be seen on stage.....

Five coats is a lot. Was that all in one day? For the next show take your shower on thursday night and then do two coats. On friday morning you can do 1-2 more then see what it looks like. Three or four should be more than enough if you have a good base tan. ANd by no means go anywere near dream tan it streaks and the judges hate it. Use a bronzer for your face and you should be good to go. You can use a hair dryer to help dry the pro tan in between coats. Hope this helps you for next time.

Applied 1 coat Wed nite, rinsed off Thurs morning....applied another coat Thurs morn, rinsed off Thurs nite & applied another coat Thurs nite...rinsed off Fri morn, applied another coat Fri morn....took my epsom salts bath Fri nite then applied another coat Fri nite + Sat morning, then topped with Olympic Gold Bronzer.

The girl in the turqoise suit only applied 1 coat of Dream Tan the day of the show - she placed higher than me tho....

I know it suck but don't rinse it off. Yeah and that girl should not have beaten you, imo. I'm not a real big fan of the dream tan I just think you better off with the Pro Tan again my opinion, but I have done 11 shows.

Well I liked how my color turned out - in looking at the pics I think it looks very good....

So don't rinse off in between coats??

Oh and hey, let me know what trainer you use (well if you want to). Think I'll go "shopping."

Your color did look great. It takes off to much color if you rinse it off, plus you could make it uneven. I'll PM you on the trainer.
