prison workout stay with it or ditch it?

I'm used to training one body part a day. At about 70% of my 1rm.4 to 5 working sets X 10 to 15 rep basicly to failure and my spotter occationaly has to save my ass. if anyone has any thought or advice I love to here it. thanx to all (ur bro good wood!)

How long have you been training?
What exactly does your program look like?
What are your goals?

[Ive been training for a little over 5 years. for the first 3.5 yrs was 5 to6 days aweek .Now its five days aweek.
mon - tris
skull crusher super set w close grip easy bar bench
3 x 30 cable pull downs
3x 12 kick backs dumb bells
3x 12 tri machine
wen -shoulders
up right rows 3x 12
smith machine presses 1x12 /2x10/ 3x8 piramind up
shoulder machine 3x10
shrugs heavey with straps barbell
dumbbell shrugs
legs
3x10 box squats
3x15 leg extensions
4x10 to 12 leg press
friday
5x6 to 7 flat 70% 1rm
incline smith 3x10 Super set bumbells 3x10
seated chest press 3x10
3x10 pec deck
sat biceps/ sunday back light back I change up days every 6 weeks
 
[ran out of room on last reply I'd like to drop some weight and biuld more lean muscle . I'm good size. I had some testosterone problems so my doc gave me a script for 6 bottles of androgel 75 grams per. Ive got some winn/ stanz. But I'm waiting untill I see my doc again .What will the gel do if anything for me ? Working out is a part of who I am.If I miss aday I feel guilty. I just want to get more out of my time.Dont get me wrong I love being big and strong I really would like to look a bit better. More tone cut if you would. I'm a constuction work by day and I eat out once a day. Usaully fish or chix.and IM LIMITED TO THE CARDIO I CAN DO. I was born with a skin condition very rare. but limits my running or riding bike ect. well I hope I didnt dump to much on u .thanx for listening (ur bro brian1488)
 
Getting leaner is a diet issue. If you like the program you are doing and are still seeing good results from it then no reason to not stick with it. The androgel may actually help you lean up a bit by bringing your test up to normal levels.

As far as doing cardio you probably don't need to do too much if you work construction as you're probably moving around all the time. Eating out isn't too big a problem depending on what you get. I always try to get some sort of salad or fruit when I eat out especially for lunch.

ya, i was gonna say just that....if you're a construction worker,,i doubt you'll need much cardio...i did construction work as a kid,,and i just got ripped as hell from working all day in the heat, hammering shit...lol
 
im gonne have to disagree. ive worked construction all my life, until the past few years, im roughneck for an environmental drilling outfit now, very hard work. i've lost no wieght. its only when i throw cardio into the mix ill see results. however, this line of work often requires you to eat junk food, which may be part of the problem. i can literally eat anything i want to, with this job and ill never put on fat. a good diet combined with a blue collar job and you might see some results, id be scared of losing muscle tho. often heavy lifting is required, so losing muscle isnt a big problem, but id seriously watch your chest, as that muscle is nearly the only one never used at hard manual labor jobs.

bottom line, i dont think you should rule cardio out. its the only thing that put me over the top. but id also stick to the weights super heavy because all that excess calorie burning may cause you to lose un-needed muscle. and def bring your lunch to work if possible. ive about said fuck wendys and to hell with that shit, even though you're tired and starving after working hard and everyone is going to eat junk food, its definitely not worth it.
