in prison, you have nothing better to do than lift weights and do some cardio. the meals in there are rather shitty, but depending where your at, they usually have some type of hot bar-meaning, they have a cart which holds tubs of rice and all types of beans. what are beans-PROTEIN!!!! then on commissary, they have racks of tuna, peanut butter, mackerol, chicken in a can, and besides all that, you have guys that smuggle chicken, steak, beef and fish out of the kitchen and they sell everything for stamps, since, atleast in federal prison where i spent two and a half years, they stop letting you carry cash and pocket change. all that fucking in the shower and rape, does'nt happen unless your soft or you choose to go that route. i would have never started lifting weights if i had never went to federal prison. when i was out on the streets before, back in the beginning of 1998, i did'nt do anything but sit around and shoot dope, and shit i was only 24 when i went in. thats how i grew up in new jersey, got high and ran around getting money. prison got me straightened out. when i went in i was only 160 pounds and stood 5 10'. when i got out i was weighing 180 pounds. now a year and some change later, i'm almost at 230 pounds. prison saved my life and showed me something better than doing all that stupid shit. i did nothing but eat, sleep, and lift, had magazines sent in such as flex, muscle mag, and muscular development(only a few of those). wanted supplements so bad but was not paying 100 bucks for a 20 ounce container of creatine. had endless talks with people from all over about AS. could'nt wait to get out and see what was really up with everything i heard about. got out last year, early july, bought into all those muscle-tech products and found out that was all a bunch of bullshit. tried out all the pro-hormones, but stuck to just taking the protein powders until i ran across the real deal. patience pays off, if you know what i mean!!!!!!!!!!!!

one thing that does still boggle my mind is that, people talk about over training, but i knew guys who did chest and arms everyday and kept growing. i know guys that did nothing but push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups, and dips and looked better than these guys at the world gym, here in cincinnati. i learned alot, hurt my shoulder, and found out the best way to find out what works best for you, is trial and error. just because it works great for you, does'nt mean that it will do anything for me. i have a goal in life now and it is to get as big as i can get and nothing will stop me from reaching that goal. i'm married and have been going on 10 years this month, have 5 kids, and nothing makes me feel better than having my kids all want me to get bigger and bigger. they look up to how i eat, train, and stick to the lifestyle-no matter what!!!!! it feels real good to be reaching my dream and having a board like this to help out with things that i don't know. i would like to thank all of you people for being who you are and helping out others in ther persuit in bodybuilding. keep up the great work, i know i could'nt have gotten this far without your help.
