Printing on CDs/DVDs???

As a photographer, it is high time that I started putting a photo of my subjects on their CDs or DVDs.

I bought a printer for this.....Epson Photo R300.....over a year ago.

So I got around to getting it going and have made about 20 coasters so far.

Just can't get the printing don on the left 1/2 inch. Software adjustments closed the gap from 1 inch to 1/2 inch.

Tried making left/right adjustments on the printer CD adjustment panel. No dice.

Epson just says that printing can be done on their web site. Thats all I could find on the Q and A section.

What next? What worked for you?

Looks like I need some nifty software. The program I have just doesn't seem to be able to adjust far enough as it only allows 20mm. I need about 40mm of adjustment.

I have lightscribe, no more printing for me. I could never get those to be perfect though. Did some powerpoint presentations CD's for the company to distribute to our customers and fought with the spacing non stop.

my father-in-law has one of those and loves it. burns and prints right on the cd or dvd at the same time.

That is HP technology...they call it Light Scribe.

Needs HP discs and does not print in color.

I need color. Otherwise I would do it.
