Primal Quest Challenge

Subaru Primal Quest Challenge on TV right now (ABC),...was filmed in my home town here in WA.

2 parts of the race I was personally involved in coming up soon,..
1. as a member of local fire dept and search & rescue,.one of the racers was killed on the mountain behind my house,.I was unfortunately part of the recovery
2. Kayak race part down the Skagit River was filmed from my boat

Was filmed up here this last Sept.,..was kinda a big deal for our town and brought some great income to local business' as well. Our town population is under 500 as we sit in the foothills of the North Cascades.

Was very sad for all when one of the racers (Nigel) died up on the mountain behind my cabin but the way those teams came together afterwords was truly inspirational!!
