I don't get what all the hype is about. I havn't seen anyone on Pride that is any better than anyone from the UFC. IMO, the UFC actually has a far better production and the action is a hell of alot better.

That is all.

Maybe you just havent seen a good pride. Nobody UFC has can touch prides heavy weight! Who are they going to send Tim Silva? That would be a joke! Both companies are good IMO.

Are you talking about Cro Cop?? That dude def has some seriously heavy hands, but I don't know if he could handle Silvas ground game.

lol Cro cop and fedor would destroy silvia , and pretty much any other heavywiehgt in the UFC or pretty much the world. Fedor is a bad bad man.

pride is sick and def has the better fighters, dont forget rampage kicked the icemans ass back in 2003. you must not have seen any good fights, hold up ill get some good fights for you

I know another joke would be sending the UFC's new "stars" Forrest Griffin, and those other TV show guys over to Pride to fight some of their best. They would get devistated!!!!!!!!

Bro.... The competition in Pride is on a whole different level.

ANY of the top FOUR ranked LHW and HW in Pride could beat the piss out of the current UF Champs at the same weight class...

Please don't get me started on the Bushido series and the stacked weight classes there. Gomi, Sakurai, Azaredo, Jansen ect ect ect...


The competition there is unreal.


PS: Chuck did get the piss beaten out of him by Rampage. Chuck Lidell's corner threw in the towel ! ! !

The heavy weight div in UFC doesn't look as good as Prides but i would put fighters like Huges, Liddel and Franklin aginst anyone in their weight class from Pride.

The fight that Liddel lost to rampage was a tournament and Chuck had two tough fights before fighting Rampage in the same night for the championship.Chuck is a better fighter than Rampage.

Here if a few UFC fights against some Pride fighters now:

UFC 36: Worlds Collide (3/22/02), Matt Hughes defeated Japanese legend Hayato MachSakurai by TKO in the fourth round

UFC 25: Ultimate Japan 3 (4/14/00) in Tokyo Japan, Tito defeated highly regarded Brazilian fighter Vanderlei Silva by unanimous decision after five rounds to win the vacant UFC World Middleweight Championship.

UFC 31: Locked and Loaded(5/04/01) Chuck knocked out former UFC heavyweight champion Kevin Randleman at 1:18 of the first round.


UFC 49: Unfinished Business (8/21/04) Randy Couture defeated Vito Belfort by TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 5:00min of the third round.


Also........Phil Baroni was suspended from UFC and didn't get along with Dana White.He now fights in Pride, In his frst two fights he won by knock out.
 
The only thing I like better about UFC is the octagon ... It looks better and ofcourse a smart marketing tool

Either has amazing athletes, but I think Pride is the top of the mountain. Tim Silvia?? My buddy Shaun Wagner (Wags) tapped him out in like 96 or 97. UFC athletes make ZERO money too...unless you pimp yourself on their products. One of my athletes was asked to sign with UFC for McDonald's money!!! Yeah, no thanks!!! He'll keep making 10x the $$ doing underground MMA fights!!

Is anyone still on the board from<2002?? I just got out of Federal prison last Friday. my handles were BigJ & 1Mistake

Seriously, Pride kicks the UFCs ass. I still watch all of them, of course, but the fights are usually much more exciting in PRide. For anyone that doubts me, rent Pride: Return of the Warriors and see what I mean. Not only are their heavyweight fights usually exciting but the friggin technique that the guys use on the ground is awesome. The undercards at Pride are like the Main fights at UFC.
 
Both good promotions but I agree Pride has the best fighters. Heavyweight champ Fedor is one bad man,devastating power with his fists and excellent wrestling and submission and though as nails mentally. You can see in his face that fighting is nothing to him. Just another day at the office.
 
Pride... UFC... None of them, even King Kong, ain't got shit, ON ME!! ;-) I'll go now with my tail between my legs.

Ummm, you obviously don't know much about the sport. Most UFC fighters would get tooled in Pride. From top to bottom Pride is far superior. If you take UFC's top guys, I think they would do well in Pride, but overall Pride is like the Big leagues and UFC is Triple A.
