Preventing hair loss at a younger age

OK heres the deal, while getting my hair cut in the past couple months a small thinning spot was noticed on the top of my head. My dad is losing his hair, and my grandfather on my moms side has lost quite a bit. My cousin who is 26 is also losing his pretty quickly. I am 21, what products can you reccomend for me to fix this. I keep my hair middle to long in length so i also need something that will keep my hair feeling nice.

thx in advance :)

Rogaine can help prevent hair loss. You have to start using it early though. Once hair is lost, it will not come back by using Rogaine.

If its receding get propecia - if crown use rogaine - try to keep away from hats - constricts blood flow and light on the hair gels -

hats restricting bloodflow is a myth. there is no effect. try propecia. rogaine will help regrow hair but once you discontinue its usage all progress will be lost. propecia will slow (or may halt) your hairloss but takes a while to kick in.

Yah this is BS as was said above. Esp if you live in the south where or go out on sunny days with shorter hair, getting a sunburnt scalp has actually been linked to speeding baldness more... maybe a loose fitting cap is the way to go outside on sunny days.

I guess I'm from the old style school a bit, but I don't really think mens hats have any reason for bein worn when indoors anyways.

As for the prevention, I use Rogaine regular strength 2% and have been for a year now. No differences here in my hairline which is the idea (I'm 25 and my mom's family males are all bald but dad's side is fine).
