pre-workout meal

What would you all suggest for a pre-liftin meal thats high in protein but also will be good for energy throughout a long liftin session? Thanks
 
I like to eat a good solid meal 30 min or so pre workout. Been on a kick where I eat one can of chicken and one cup of oats 30min pre workout.
 
I have a 50gram dextrose shake with 50-75 grams of penta protein 30-45 min before working out. The pumps and energy are unbelievable. It's my secret to having a great workout every time.
 
I have 2 scoops of Whey in water or 10 egg whites 1 hour Prior to lifting. Never anything to heavy
