Pre-employment background checks

So, I had my job interview...but about the background check...
Anyone familiar with this type of thing?

The interview went well...and all of that good stuff. I do not know if they REALLY do background checks.

However, if they do conduct one...do arrests show up?

I was never convicted of anything....but, you never know. Anyone?

florida could be different but in my jurisdiction, which i believe to be fairly typical, business background checks only register convictions or guilty pleas.
