Hey guys. Just finished my pre-cycle blood test. GOD I HATE GIVING BLOOD!!! Ok, now thats off my chest. One of the posts in a sticky, recommended the following:
> testosterone, total, free and weekly bound
> TSH
> cortisol, total
> t3, free
> t4, free
> igf1
> igfbp-3
> dhea sulphate
> hemoglobin A1C
> fasting insulin
> cbc
> comprehensive metabolic panel
> lipid panal
> GGT (important liver value)
> PSA
That seemed like overkill to me, but I guess it depends on what substances you're using. I'll anavar for example, so I can't imagine it having any effect on my thyroid hormones. Anywho, only basic lipid, metabolic, liver function are covered by my insurance, which mean each of the recommended bullet points would cost me around $40 out of pocket, resulting in a $450 or so blood test. So instead, I ended up getting the basic insurance coverage, plus free and total test out of pocket, for a total cost of $100. I don't live in the USA anymore, so just wondering what you guys normally get tested for, and what the cost usually runs.
Still haven't decided my anavar dosages yet, but I'm thinking 50mg/day/8weeks. I'd like to get another liver and lipid panel 4-5 weeks into the cycle since anavar does swing lipids and it is 17aa, but due to my utter hatred of giving blood, I might just wait till 1 week after PCT. Am I being stupid here?
This is my first cycle.
