Pre course blood test

New member
Im just going to start another course in about 3 weeks, but before i did i wanted to get the full check over.

Which tests do i need to get:
Testosterone
Estrogen

Someone said to me about HDL and LDL levels

Any others, cheers?

I get a full panel done which includes a host of things. The bottom line is that AAS (depending ont he substance) can effect your liver, kidneys, & natural test levels (and other things).

I always get a full blood panel which hits lipid values, liver, kidneys, blood and testosterone. I've had thyroid issues in the past so I get that tested too.

I gotta tell you that I am happy as hell you are posting this too. Not too many people go out and do this - getting pre and post cycle blood work is very important. There was a post this past week about a guy who did AAS for years and NEVER got blood work done and now he is bitchin his health is fucked up.

Good luck!

Cheers justinjones.
In britain the doctors are massively anti steriods, so you have to go to the hospital fill out a form etc. Do you know the medical terms for these blood tests it just makes it easier when filling out the forms

I didn't know you are from the UK.

I have no idea what they call it over there. Here (at least where I get my blood work done) they call it a 'health and wellness check' - I have to add in the testosterone panel.

Here is a link for a site in the US that does this - it may help out with the terminology.

http://www.lab-safe.com/

Hopefully a vet from the UK can jump in and help out giveing you specific answers.

does anyone know ballpark what a full panel runs??

When I get my annual physical my insurance pays for that (and I make sure my annual physical is a few weeks before I start my cycle - it is an easy way to get 'er done).

I was using Quest Diagnostics. It was $100 for a health and wellness and this covered kidneys, blood, lipids, thyroid etc. (they list it all on the site). Testosterone was an additional $250 which is pricey. I have heard they no longer allow doing this over the net. I am going to have to try out http://www.lab-safe.com/ at the end of my next cycle. The prices are virtually the same.

With Quest I would order over the net, hop to the local office in my homwtown, pay at the local office, and then check my results online in a few days. Very easy and confidential.
