Pre bed meal idea

anthrax

MVP
EF VIP
Unflavored protein powder
Canned turkey
good fats
mustard/spices

Turkey is rich in natural L-tryptophan, a sleep-promoting amino acid

Actually my above recipe is awful

don't ever try that !

I'd rather eat some Pedigree that canned turkey

If your trying to maintain or lose body fat, just eat a tuna salad or virtually anything that is low in carbs (especially simple carbs). If your trying to gain, eat anything as long as it's still a healthy meal, and not to high in fat.

I'm trying to gain some muscles. My pre bed is more or less this:
100 gr canned tuna
1/2 scope whey
20 almonds
1 tbsp ANPB
1 or 2 tbsp flax oil

good try with the turkey to induce sleep :D thanksgiving has me taking nap time after dinner. why don't you just eat real turkey?

i have always used eggs and whites as my pre bed meal.

Because I am a lazy bastard and I thought that opening a can would be a better idea than cooking some turkey

Not a bad idea... :)

i use a casein or casein/whey based powder in milk and a tablespoon of flax oil. muscle milk mixed w/ 12 oz. of milk makes a pretty enjoyable bedtime snack, too.

M.Milk? I suggest using this only PW..........too much shit for your body to handle right before bed...........Peanuts and a thick protein (casein shake) is the formula of champs.............lol

Why would u want a slow digesting product like Muscle Milk post workout??? I go w/ whey and simple carbs post workout. Muscle Milk is mostly micellar casiens and good fats. It's designed to digesty very, very slowly...ideal for between solid meals and at bed time, when you risk going into a catabolic state.

by far i think the best thing before bed if you are trying to cut up is a lean chicken breast. Tuna I guess the same but I have been doing this lately as my only change in diet really and im starting to shed pounds! probably like 3 pounds in the last 2 weeks of fat. I totally recommend it. Getting a lot more ripped lately and am very close to perfect beach body. Anybody else have this experience?

Last nite I had 1/2 cup of 1% fat cottage cheese + 1/2 oz raw sliced almonds

I ended up mixing the almonds in with the cc and it was YUMMY!!

I think we are talking of prebed meal, not postWO.
You are right, whey and carbos postWO are ok, make sure your carbos are high in GI (take glucose, like everybody!)

bump for any more ideas....

JKurz?

getting tired of almonds & cottage cheese....

Don't know what to say...........you know what I eat................actually, now I've been making this really frosty (huge) shake right before bed and tossing in a few handfulls of All Bran...........Think I just like the texture, so the peanuts have taken a back seat.........maybe just 1 -2 handfulls..........

usually it's designer w/ gly. slow release, but I may go buy some muscle milk tonight..........hmmmm..............peeps are talking me into it.......
