Pre and Post workout?

I'm taking an Isopure protein shake after my workouts, but feel I should be taking something beforehand too for a boost.... Would Creatine and then the shake after be ok? Or something better for a boost in energy beforehand?

I've done two pre-workout mixes.

First Mix (Bulking)
50g carbs from WaxyMaize starch
50g whey
10g BCAA
2 TBS all natural honey, I just eat it off the spoon

I get great energy from this

Second Mix (Cutting)
Protein Factories Advanced Pre-Workout formula: Pre Workout Supplement - Anabolic Proteins - Protein Peptides

63% Rilose
25% PeptoPro
2% Glutamine Peptides
10% Red Muscle
Peak ATP & Aminogen

1/3 Cup serving is:

100 Calories
21g carbs/17g sugar from rilose
7g protein
0g fat

Its good clean energy, sometimes I take two servings depending on how long ago my previous meal was.
