PR - Decline Bench

Nice work man I can't even bench half of that, flat/incline or decline.
Hey what do they mean by bouncing the bar off the chest?

I didn't say anything about bouncing the bar off chest... that's a bad technique to use. What I meant was I tried 300... lowered it under control... pushed about 1 inch - but the weight was too heavy and down it came. Glad I had my spotting devices handy, although I should probably use something besides an ice chest...

Nice clip. Hope to see more! I like the way you challenge yourself!

Thanks! I know I could have done more than 275... prob 285 or so. That magic number of 300 was just too tempting!

i guess.... ccj missed the next line about missing the 300lbs. lol

congrats on the pr....... decline is fun. i got into because of arnold...... no he never did them(at least not that i know of) but i have always like the way his chest looked, so i worked to try and get it. his main contribution to that was weighted dips...... so i use to do them religiously. all i got was stressed rotater cuffs and stronger bigger.......... shoulders and triceps...... so i started doing decline (essentially the same motion) and it works very well.

no spotters? what if you failed? :)

Didn't you see my ice chest spot device.. LOL. I failed with 300, and let it down on that. But I'm going to get something more stable next time. Wish I had a power rack.

I love them.. I feel them much more in the pecs than regular bench... seems to get down deep in the muscle if you know what I mean.
