Hey man sup I know you have a certain way to lose 20lbs in 3 days how exactly do you do this????????? I would like to know so I can put some weight on and stil make it in a 165lb weight class. Thanx alot current weight is 170lbs I would like to train around 175-180 and stil make my class. The reason I ask is b/c I've read posts of you losing 20lbs in 3 days and I figure you don't want to lose strength so there's gotta be a way to do this.
 
I only did that and would only do that with a 48hr weigh in. I carb depleted drank only water. Took laxative before bed along with diurex water pills 4 times a day. then for the last 5 lbs i sat in asauna with Kenny Patterson and angelo and they had a scale set up and we would set in there then get in cold shower weigh and repeat then go straight to the weigh in, when weight was made. I lived 2 hrs away and i weighed in at 220lbs on the money and was 232 or so when i got home and when we lifted i was 240lbs again. 24 hrs would nt be enough for me to try that in. You need 48 for 15 to 20. 24hrs 10lbs or less.
 
what if I was to do this 72 hrs before in case if this doesn't work for me, I guess I'll test before the meets so I can know about the steam asauna you said this only took off the last 5 lbs ok so I'll have to work with 5 lbs less at all times b/c I don't have one near by. One thing wouldn't getting rid of all your carbs for a day decrease your strength when you go to lift b/c you won't have any energy. Thanx man. I'll try this before my meet to see how it works. Will this effect your health if done say E O W.
 
Jay thats some intense dieting man. Hey have you gotten down to Florida yet if so let me know i'd love to hook up and train at your golds for a day or two.

As far as dieting the reason i do this only with 48hr weigh in is after you weigh in you have 48hrs to re hydrate and re carb up. If there is a 72 hr weigh in do it. I dont mean 72hrs before you lift or 48 i mean 48 to 72 hrs from the time you weigh in, till you actually lift. So if you lift on sat you weigh in thurs, you start this monday.
 
Well see our meets are a little different we weigh in then about 30-60 minutes later after weighing in we compete. See we compete on a wednesday. So how would i do this????

Start on sunday carb depleting and then on tuesday drink water only when neccessary and on wed the same and after I weigh in carb up and drink alot?????
 
Thats a totally different story man. Your competing practically right after you weigh in where as Jay has like 2-3 days to rehydrate and put on more wieght after wiegh in. In my opinion you would lose so much strenght if you did that but if you do carb up emidiatley after wiegh i with juices and high index carbs i guess.
 
Dude the only thing i would do as far as lifting 30min after weigh in would be hit cardio now up the shit out of your protein, and come in lighter but solid. Meaning lose fat gain muscle and come in full muscled nothing depleted. But do not do cardio th eweek of the meet. Basically become smaller! I personally if i was you just lift at what i weighed. Unless your going to break a world record or there is money at stake, i would not worry about. Just lift. Me doing that 20lbs in 3 days made me 500 bucks. If not fo rthat forget i lift at what i weigh. Ya'll dont think i do that every time that is not or cant be healthy to always do. My meet Jan 20th i will come in at 242 on the money and i am currently 250lbs right now so i will just cut calories the last few days and come in fine. 8 lbs is nothing if your 250 but if your 165 its alot harder to lose. Be carefull. After your meet i will tell you an extreme way to put weight on!
 
Whoa see the thing is that I have about 5 or 6 meets and they are all on wednesday but maybe 1 week apart like they will either be every wednesday or maybe one week it'll be E O W. And I'm already signed up for the 165lb weight class b/c that's what I've been weighing not lately I'm up to about 173lbs right now. I figured if i would have done this just for the meets then bump up until I plan on breaking the world record at 19 inthe 165lb weight class. If I don't make 165lb weight class then I go up to the 183lb weight class and that's a whole different ball game there are some strong mothafo's in there not many strong's in the 165lb that's why since I'm closer to that I wanna dominate it and make it to states up in Tallahassee.

GRIMM do you know exactly what would be a high index carb that I can bring with me to the meet????? They don't sell food there besides hot dogs and sodas.

So your saying start doing cardio now and cut some carbs and UP THE PROTEIN ALOT. Even though I compete in late Feburary and early March until about April that's the last meet it might even be May I can't remember.

If this is so then how many times a week cardio what time in the day and for how long and how intense???? Won't I lose strength doing cardio????

SSHoooot I havn't done any cardio in a good 3-4 weeks not even jump rope or even hit the speed bag.
 
Basically hit cardio 3 to 4 day sa week 20 to 30 minutes. Make your self sweat. Or just cut calories. My point was to just become a hard rock solid 165lbs and even if your lean become lean enough to weigh 165 and full of water and muscles ful of blood. Dont be depleted. If i wanted to be 220 all the time after dinner every night i would have to lose fat. See my point. Become 165! How you do it is up to you. It sonly 8 lbs.
 
Let's see if I get this

So I can go ahead and do cardio 3-4 times a week and not lose strength. So if I did cardio for about 20 minutes or 30 minutes in the morning on the same days I lift this wouldn't mess me up or anything on my lifts. Like early mon, tue, thur, fri morning so I can rest on my rest days instead of doing cardio.
 
Cubanito do the cardio. If you feel weaker cut back. But you aint gonna lose strength. At least not in the tim eit takes to lose 7 lbs. Drop your carbs a little bit but up your protein to make up th edifference. You will be fine.

Mass phase. Number 1 rule eat every 2 hrs. But eat a shit load of protein. But an extreme way i tried and worked for me is i ate breakfast in the morning before work, just cereal toast in eggs whatever that is at 6:30 am, then at 7:30 i eat a snickers and some gatorade. At 9:00 snickers in gatorade. 12 noon buffett. Chicken n potatoes and tons of shit. then at 1:30 3:00 and 4:30 snickers and gatorade. 5:00 i train, eat huge dinner at 7:30 then at 10: protein shake n yogurt. I only did this for 1 month. I started end of aug 2000 weighed in at 215lbs then 4 weeks later and 20lbs on the bench later i was 230lbs. But even without that i eat every 2 hrs or so. Period. if your not hungry drink your calories. Drink whole milk. Lots. Train hard also. Right now i am over 250lbs and i actually eat less now then back then. But after my Jan meet i am going to weigh in the 260's with the snicker diet! Hey it works for me.
 
I forgot something. You smaller guys with smaller apettites may have trouble eating like that. A friend of mine who used this method got excellent result in size and strength he didnt like eating so much so i told him to mix milk and cut up snickers in th eblender. If your going to work and you need 5 snickers through the day, mix it up and drink em. He used a empty 1/2 gallon milk jug. Add protein powder be inventive. You will get great full calories and ittaste good too. Good luck!
 
Damn that mass diet sounds like something I'D LOVE TO DO. And bout the strength I'll try it out and see what works for me if I feel I'm not gaining like I was then I'll cut back on cardio some. Now when you say cut back on carbs what's the minimum amount of carbs a day I can eat without losing that energy at a 173lb bodyweight(it just keeps gaining).
 
One way to gage your diet is eat your grams a day in protein and double in carbs. Say you cut down to 1 1/2 grams per body=weight then take the 1/2 you cut in carbs and add to the protein. So then you would eat 1 1/2 x your bodyweight in protein and carbs. You need normally 175grams a day of protein, 300grams of carbs and fuck the fat eat what you want! Unless you start getting fat. Hope this helped you some.
 
K let me see if I understand this. Eat 1 1/2 times my body weight And this should consist of 1g of protein per lb and 1.5g of carbs per lb. And fuck whatever for the fat. Is this right, hope not b/c I understood it this way and it doesn't make sense to me to eat more carbs then protein :confused:
 
How about I just eat the steak, hamburgers, eggs, turkey, chicken, protein shakes, whole wheat bread, oats, almonds, peanuts and the other stuff I was gonna eat?


Too funny to hear that Snickers and gatorade are your secret.
 
Cubanito if you lower your carbs more then that you will definitly lose weight. try it. But your body will only use so much protein. Fuck if you weigh 175 lbs and you eat 250 grams a day of protein, not only will your body only use what it can , around 175 grams or so. The rest will store as energy or fat i fyou will but with protein instead of carbs i know if i am eating too much protein cause it tears my stomach up. It hurts i shit too much , or too often. Just like your body really wont use more then 40 grams of protien at one time. But i am no nutrtiotion expert, this is what i have learned, i have done a tons of experiments with food. I have weighed 190lbs to my current 253lbs. And i will weigh what i want when i want too. I guess you can say as far as my body goes i know what it can and cant do. that takes time for you to find out.

RATHER BE DEADLIFTING Snickers and and gatorade is somneting i do on occasion. It isnt my secret to strength! I eat alot and often and pretty much the same things you listed. Eat what ever you like but if you want to manipulate your weight and have it dialed in for performance sometimes you need to count calories and grams and see if your eating what you think. 4000 calories is harder then you think it is to eat everyday. You may think its what your eating but truth is yhou probably aint. Not you but in general speqking. Although lately instead of protein shake or yogurt before bed i have been eating root beer floats! Thats some good shit!

Well, I'm not worried about keeping a certain weight right now, just trying to put on about 20-30 lbs of usable size. I find that if I write up a set diet of some good foods, I am more likely to get in enough calories than if I just eat anything I want. Sometimes I end up eating less that way. Dunno, maybe it's just me.
