Is how easily a powder dissolves in BA/BB related to its purity?

My NPP powder took a lot of shaking and time before it dissolved... is that a bad sign in terms of purity?

Also- does anyone know why they say to "shake gently" after the oil is added to the powder/ba/bb mixture? Is there a reason for "gently"?

shake gently , so you dont get it all over the place LOL

As a general rule, the faster acting the ester, the harder to get into soln.
But the phenyl group is avg size, so it shouldnt be too hard.

Did you heat it up.
I just made a batch of prop at 3% BA, 15% BB. I heat up the powder and the BA/BB together, before i put the oil in. then I shake (not gently) and put back in the water. thsi way, a large portion of the dissolving is done. then add the oil, heat and shake, then heat again or 10-15 min. should be golden by then

what was your ratio of BA & BB

No reason whatsoever as you can't hurt a molecule and filtering won't decrease potency by removing molecules, either.
