Hey gang, I could use some help. I have an anterior pelvic tilt that is getting more extreme every month.
It is affecting my squats in particular. I do a lengthy dynamic warmup with foamrolling, stretching and bodyweight squats and lunges, I even use the stick to do some myofacial relief on calves, IT band, glutes, hams and hips. In the cage I try very hard to keep proper squat form: chest proud, shoulders back, dropping hips below my knees into the hole, driving up thru my heels. I perform deep stretching after my workout too.
But now, even with light weight, I find myself folding like a lawnchair as I sink down into the squat. I simply cannot keep my thorasic upright and I end up on the balls of my feet instead of my heels.
I am wondering what sort of specialist I should be looking for to get my posture assessed and rectified. Could Sports Medicine or a "good" PT shop assist?
Thanks!
