post workout Q

I have never once missed a post workout meal. Today was the first, due to some things that happened, but since this never happened, what will happen? Hinder gains, very sore next day? Just wondering what i should expect to come

I doubt anything noticeable will happen, other than felling kinda crappy for a bit with low blood sugar.

Although PWO nutrition is important, missing it once is certainly not something that is going to create a noticable dip in your training.

Yeah, one time won't cause any long-term harm to your gains....I wouldn't make it a habbit though. I'd just shrug it off, it seriously should not cause any problems.

If I miss the meal I get hungry. If I leave it too long I start to feel faint and getting some food becomes a mission. Don't worry about it; your body will let you know if it's suffering.

You could buy some protein bars and always keep one in your gym bag for emergencies. Chances are that you'll snack on the first few but after those have gone and you've bought some more, it's good to know that the food is there if needed.

Which is better, eating right after or waiting to eat and let your body burn/eat off any extra fat you have? Of course when you get hungry, hungry (real hungry) then eat. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I don't want my body to feed it self off of food I put into it right after a work out I want it to eat/burn off the extra I got. Now if your trying to get big/bulky then I could see the importance of eating right afterwards. Some one enlighten me on this subject, thanks.

...if i go longer than 2-3hrs without eating anything i think my stomach "shrinks" a bit, and when i eat later i feel full faster and i have to force it back to the large meal size it was... :worried:

You may find it easy to carry a Post-workout shake with you. Beverly International makes a nice 'shakable' product called Mass Maker. A super clean protein/carb ratio for immediate post workout consumption. 3 scoops shaken in 14oz water = no excuse for missing the PO meal.

Good luck. :)
