Post workout Creatine?

Lucky

New member
I was just wondering if it would hurt or be a waste if I mix my
creatine with my protien shake after my workout. The reason I ask is because I have read a few threads saying that the reason Nitro-tech works so good is because it has a little creatine in it.

I have seen several articles lately that say the protein creatine carb mix will provide a better transport, but then again I have heard not to take it with protein so it doesn't compete with the amino's, anyone have some info?

I really doubt protein and creatine combined will cause a problem. If that were the case then all creatine from food such as steak, chicken, and fish would be voided out. Mother nature would not screw our diet out of creatine consumption IMO.

Just throw the 5gms in your mouth and wash it down with a fruit juice. Then drink your shake. that way u get the full 5g

I called AST and asked them that same question. They said that creatine and an MRP taken together couple each other fine for post-workout. The creatine and protein will get into your system better than taking them separate.

Creatine granules cannot be absorbed properly... It would be much better to let creatine be mixed in liquid for absorption purposes. Just like when you reach super saturation while mixing creatine with a liquid and when alll the liquid is consumed you get little granules all over the glass. You wouldn't lick the glass, you'd add more water.

Or even better, add it to a protein shake.

I recommended Post workout drink, would be a few scoops of whey, a serving of creatine and 50-90 grams of dextrose and maybe add Glutamine and ALA to the cocktail.

i dont think it matters too much, just as long as you get in your system and let the body do the rest. dont worry about the supps too much but rather the training.
