My son just turned 6. He starts first grade in the fall. God i feel old

I still remember when my oldest started school. I thought she would cling and cry... NOT EVEN! She let go my hand as soon as we hit the classroom. I was standing there like.... what just happened? LOL

As soon as I left the building I began to cry. For some reason though I wasn't as torn up when my last began school.

Now my oldest asked if she was old enough to work. She wouldn't fess up but is was so she could help me to pay our bills. She is just a child...

I am truly lucky. My kids are the best on the planet.

I have no children of my own. However, I have 26 nieces and nephews. One of them, my 6 month old niece, is pretty much my child. She spends more time with me than she does with her own parents.

Wait until she's 12 and then you'll want to choke her. It's not cute at that age. I'd probably spoil her all over again though, but I'd a found a way to curb that smart little mouth.
