post office just called

birdkiller

New member
I got a call from the post office saying that a package is too big to fit in my box. It seems weird that they called especially since I thought they just left a slip in my P.O. box. Should I pick it up? I"m pretty scared.

Never heard of them calling. Always just get a slip.

Are you in an extremely small town. Seems like a big town would not have time to call everybody who had a large package.

Be careful

True. Small town might call.

But, I'm wondering, what crime is it on your part to go to the post office and pick up a package that THEY called you to pick up. Go down to the P.O. and pick it up. It's not like they will have a cop there 24-7 waiting for you to pick up a package.

I got a phone call too. I had never gotten a phone call from the post office, but they said my package was there ready for pickup. I picked it up, walked outside, put the package in my car and two nicely dressed gentlemen asked me to step out of the car. They showed me their FBI badges and asked me to get in the car. The rest of this story is irrelevant.

Are you serious?

Try this.

Call the P.O., from a pay phone and don't give them your name. Ask them what their policy is - if a person gets a package and it does not fit in the P.O. box. If they tell you a slip in the box. then I would not pick it up and if they call again tell them you did not order anything.

Call them & tell them to just leave it on your porch, you don't have time to pick it up due to the hours you work. I've never had to pick anything up unless it's registered & have to sign for it. I wouldn't go pick it up, especially after what Ulter said happened to him.

Let us know the outcome, unless they wont let you sign in to Elite from prison! Just kidding bro. Good luck

ask your source if he sent a BIG package or a LITTLE package. If he sent a little package then disregard the phonecall. If its a big one tell your source he's a dick and disregard the call. Either way it sounds TOO RISKY. Tell the post office you are NOT EXPECTING A PACKAGE.

But I have never heard of a package being too big. How big could it be.

what are you expecting in the mail? you need to ask yourself it there is even enough gear in that package to justify them going to these lengths to bust you. if you're not expecting too much then i would go for it.

however, if it's a big order. stop and think about it.

i do like the idea of just calling them and asking. tell them that you are thinking about opening a box but you know some of the packages will be too large to fit. how would they handle that. it's always been a slip as far as i know.

if you live in a big enough city, pay someone to pick it up for you. then have them drive down the street to meet you. if he/she gets picked up, that person won't know who you are and you'll be long gone ;)

Id do this. It sounds like the best advice.

This is some scary shit! I wonder if it broke open or something. How else would they know unless they were monitoring your source? Was it domestic or international?

Call the post office and ASK who it is from because you are not expecting anything.

WHAT DID YOU ORDER?? This is the important question.

Hey ULTER if your Fucking around then that is some fucked up shit freakin a brother out like that .

I think he's dead serious.

Call your source and try to find the exact measurements of the box. That way you can determine if it'd fit in one of the larger boxes that the Post Office puts stuff in. For example, at a Post Office I used to work at, we'd put a key in your box. This key would open up a larger box so that you could get your package during off hours. If your source says it's not that big then call it a loss. Actually,....I think I'd call it a loss regardless.

How much gear was sent?

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BIRDKILLER REad your damn post there are questions waiting to be answered..Hello Hello anybody? Somebody? ok :D

It was domestic. And i recieved a package from the same source that was too big for my box but they didnt call. I'm scared becuase it is a $1000 order. I think I'm going to go call and see if it is common for the post office to call.

Since this is the second time, might I suggest as the little dog on Taco bell says "I think you need a beeger box" :D Hell it sounds like you're paying gym prices.

I don't think Ulter is joking at all. Birdkiller, tell them to send the package back. Don't call or do anything to raise more suspicion. DEFINITELY do not pick up.

Tell them your not expecting any package or just go down and see what the package looks like and if its the gear then just simply say or right on the package RETURN TO SENDER!!! Call your source and see what he packaged the stuff in and then go and see just do NOT take it from the Post office after all it might be some of those birds that you killed J/k. This is what I would do!!

The return to sender deal only works if you don't have to sign for it. If you sign for it, the package might as well be open because you are accepting and aknowledgeing receipt.

How about if you go to pick it up and say something like

" well I'm not expecting anything, maybe my wife bought me a gift or something???"

If a postal worker hears you say that and they try and bust you, you can say I had no clue what it even was!!!

Then again, it's better to be safe then sorry bro....

Just think 1,000 dollars of gear can end up costing you alot more then that...... Even some time. Maybe it's better of to just take a loss and know your still safe..

Good luck and keep us posted!!

ulter, did you go and pick it up immediately? did you have to show ID to pick it up? i can't believe feds were sitting there waiting for you to show up and pick it up. what if you took a week or two to pick it up?

this is very common...dont pick it up!!!!!!!
or go there and get it..look at quick and take note if it was opened..if it appears open.qive it back and say its not yours...dont sign for it.....or take a pen with you and the moment you get it..out side write return to sender...if anyone stops you..you say you were going to send it back that you relelized it wasnt yours..if you leave with it..dont open it...how was it sent..priority

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Count your losses.

You pick that package up and your ass is theirs.

Me too. I think he's messing with us.:p

Well, I haven't really seen Ulter to be a jokester on this site.
I think I believe that it did indeed happen to him.
I just can't understand how the feds would wait for him unless he told the Post Office when they called, "yeah I'll be right there". Otherwise, like Enigmaxxx7 said, he could have picked it up any time within a span of a few weeks, and it's not like the feds would've waited for his ass.

Ulter - give us some more insight bro you got a good story that could help a lot of people

well being that it is a post office they should always have some sort of law enforcement on hand at all times and I dont mean Officer Joe with the flashlight, so they could notify them and have them keep you in custody till the proper feds arive.
Just my .02 cents

Not a flame - but I've never heard of that. I only ever worked at one post office and we sure didn't have any kind of law enforcement on hand, and I've never seen any at any Post Office Iv'e gone to.

I guess they could stall while they called the local sheriff. "Hmmmm, we can't seem to find that package, give us a few more minutes". If that happens - RUN! ;)

WHATS UP MAX! Hey the post offices I go to out here all have Coppers chillin outside the front door maybe I just live in the ghetto or somethin HUM Thats all.

You said it was two packages...could you let us know what the whole order was. We like details.

But what you said shouldn't be a Big Box. So it is VERY FISHY. I think we all agree NOT TO PICK IT!

"If you feel the heat coming around the corner...."

personally I am paranoid and like to play everything very safe.

If this happened to me I would even get all of the "stuff" out of my house until I was sure everything was fine.

ALWAYS BE ON POINT and you will never get caught.

thats me though.

anyway, fedex, ups, or usps packages get busted because either:
1 Your source is being monitored,
2 They have busted you in the past and you ordered next one rightaway
3 Package was lousy (broke open, smell, leaking).
Fedex, ups, usps DO NOT call receivers to let them know... Do NOT... I worked in all three... And at NEITHER one we called customers. Just SLIPS...
They are fucking with you... Do NOT pick it up...
Good luck, bro...

The post office called me one time and said that they wanted to know when i would be home because there was a package for me and I knew what it was but acted a little dumb ,I found it very strange that they knew my unlisted phone number but I just told them to bring it quick because I would be leaving and he brought it and I didn't open it for a day and all was well but I was a little worried, I mean why would th po go out of there way to call and then telling them to bring the pacage quick and they did is weird to me ..

Everything is allright I picked it up. I couldnt handle losing $1000. I still cant understand why they called because I called other post offices to see if they ever call and they said they dont. But I guess I'm ok and the lesson I learned is to buy a much larger box so I can order whatever I want and not worry. It was sort of a rush coming home and opening my package:D

damn bro...ballsy move, im glad it worked out.

Good to hear ya got your shit safely but, you are fucking crazy. I'll bet your asshole was so tight you couldn't have got in there with a crow bar while you were in the post office. Just waiting for those bastards to come out & cuff your ass. Good luck on your cycle, you damn well better make this one worth it! C-YA!

Being honest you paid alot for 2 T400, 4 eq and 500 dbol. I'd find another source.

I am sorry I caused so much commotion. I didn't see the responses on here until just now or I would have answered. I am glad you got your package safely.

No I was not joking. Yes I picked it up within an hour of being called and one of the FBI agents was posing as a customer at the Post Office and when he got tipped that it was me he went outside and waited for me to put the package in my car.

my experience...

Hey Bro's I agree with earlier post where if it's a small order then shit, go get it. All you will get is a written violation if it's deemed a usable amount and not so much as to be considered a distributable amount. The first time I ordered fina I got a slip in my mailbox at the house. I can see the post office from my house so for the rest of the afternoon I sat on my porch drinking water and watching who came and went in the post office. Arround 4:30 pm I walked over towards the P.O., walked out back to check for out of state plates, gov't plates, etc. When that proved clear I went in and signed for it. My second fina order was less than $100.00 so they dropped it at my house, didn't have to sign but also didn't get a tracking # from supplier. Moral of the story I was friggin freaked out for no reason.

Use common sense....:fro:

Not 24/7 but during work hours they will. They don't care if you picked it up at home or at their location. They need you to ACCEPT it. That's all they care for... Nowdays, I would be very careful...
