Possible poison ivy/ringworm?

repost the pics, but ringworm is easy to identify. Regardless Like Swatdoc said go see a Dr.

Ringworm is a fungus (actually the same fungus that causes athletes foot). It effects the scalp, body, feet, groin and nails differently. On the scalp a small pimple will appear, and it will grow larger. The hair over the infection will become brittle and break off causing temporary baldness in the spot. Ringworm on the skin usually starts as a small ring and expands outward. You can use athletes foot treatment on ringworm, but make sure that it is ringworm and not poison ivy/oak or applying anti-fungal cream will make it worse. Poison ivy/oak responds well to a topical steroid cream (cortisone). You can get a stronger cream from your doctor than from your local pharmacy.

Poison ivy/oak will be in strands that spread when scratched and open. (It may look like a branch has brushed your skin and left a rash as a trail.) It is very distinct from ringworm.

If your infection is on your groin, scalp or feet, don't treat it yourself, because it could be any number of things. (you should probably go to the doc anyway)

I wish I could see your pics...I have it on my leg by my knee....ringworm that is...caused by the gym......

Depending on your insurance, if you have it, just drop in at a dermatologist. Mostly, it's teenagers with acne in there, so the lines move quickly.
