Ok, I'll make it easy. One traditional idea of the Faustian bargain is the "deal with the devil." In exchange for your soul you get whatever you desire.

Goethe's Faust is a slight twist on the basic idea;
"The story concerns the fate of Faust in his quest for the true essence of life ("was die Welt im Innersten zusammenhält"). Frustrated with learning and the limits to his knowledge and power he attracts the attention of the Devil (represented by Mephistopheles), whom Faust bargains with to serve until that moment Faust attains the zenith of human happiness, when Mephistopheles may take his soul. Goethe's Faust is pleased with the deal as he believes the moment will never come."

Yes, and you should consider "hell" the fire and brimstone type manufactured by the Christian church via Dante's "Divine Comedy" and some early non-biblical Christian writings. The New Testament is unclear and contradictory and one original idea was that it was simply separation from God. In Goethe's work, Faust is forgiven by the spirits of the earth and enters the world of the classical Gods. It is far from a completely Christian based work.

my soul is mine, and mine only.........no amount of whores could make me give it up.
In Goethe's Faust, the one moment of happiness is reached when all war, human suffering etc ends and nature itself experiences a moment of happiness. The only thing I am changing is the ending, which is too easy, you actually have to go serve in hell(be separate from God).

Yes
Of course

Because Hell is pure religious invention :)

The devil is the details when Christians try to promote their theology.

I voted yes. In some religions "hell" isn't a bad place.

On a side note the college opera tried to get me to be in faust.
