Poison Oak..

All that stuff barely works, and the shot the doctor gives is a myth it won't work that well, Soak your hand in a strong bleach water solution for awile the more often the better, or spend a long time in a public pool- the bleach will dry it up watch a movie and let your hand soak while scrubbing it. That's the only way I found to get rid of the hell and torture faster. Might take a few days but it will leave rather than spread.

I just got over the poison ivy thing about a week go... the stuff really will drive you crazy! None of the over-the-counter stuff worked, so I went to the doc and he gave me some prednisone tabs. I took 5 one day, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1... I was still scratching pretty much the whole time, but buy the sixth day it was gone. Doc said the stuff would've eventually cleared up without treatment but it would take about 3-4 weeks. I'd a jumped off a building by then.
ps/ Something I didn't try is a new product called "zan-fer" or something like that. You'll recognize it if you go to a drug store. It's in the anti-itch cream section and costs about $40, which is about what the doc cost me. I'd at least try it as a last resort ONLY if getting to the doc will take a while...
