WTF just happened?!
Using a 5cc syringe w/ a 23G 1.5" for a right glute injection (1mL ** Fina, 1mL (Aussie Vet) Prop), the plunger emptied half of the slightly warm oil, and then it wouldn't budge!!!!! No matter how hard I pushed, it just wouldn't go! Pulled the thing out... lots o' blood.
Refitted the syringe w/ a sterile 25G 1" and shot my right quad w/ the remaining 1mL.
Both shots gave me that wierd Fina taste/cough... only had that once before. Shots stung like hell too.
Why the hell wouldn't the oil push thru a 23G?! The injection site hadn't been used for about a week either.
Anyone else exoerience this?
BTW - I know how to inject, I take all necessary sterility precautions.
