pls - how do you train?

how do you all train: westside, old school/coan, metal militia, whatever?

What about training in shirts? Gear in general?

I used to westside, and like to throw in a russian squat routine now and then, but lately tried doing heavy triples in my shirt like kenelly recommends, and i really like it a lot! That's what made me wonder what other people are doing.

Give me info, links, whatever. Love to hear it!

I have a sort of fusion technique. Let me see if I can paste it here. I made a spreadsheet based on percentages that take me up (wave) for 3 weeks and then an off (deload) week.

That's how I progress on the main lifts. I usually do a couple of ancillary movements after the main lift, and on Saturdays (this is a M/W/F routine) I do some little stuff, too. I hit my target weight for up to three singles, depending on how I feel.

Oh, I put my gear on when I cannot do the weight raw anymore during the first six weeks. The last six weeks is considered "Gear" training so I just warm up and put it on for my heavier lifts.

that's similar to what's working for me.

I am doing heavy triples followed by accessory movements. And bench is done with a shirt to get more practice in gear.

just straight linear periodization for me.....its what has always worked for me

Bald Gorilla, what part of TX you from btw?

bald gorilla - i like how you have deload weeks. i think i'm going to structure vacations as deload weeks from now on.

Acutally, I just added those in and MAN they make a big difference. Work your weights up to ball busting by the 3rd week, then take an easy week. Then start a 3 week cycle over again. Huge gains!
