There is an infinite set of possibilities. Monotheism exists among these possibilities. Therefore, monotheism is statistically unlikely. It's likelihood is infinitely small.

Historians have shown us that many societies developed many different belief systems (including religions). Some, such as Taoism, do not even include the idea of any spiritual beings. Some are polytheistic. Most of these religions seem to be influenced and created to reflect the cultures they were created in. This leads me to believe that they are simply created by society and are unlikely to reflect reality.
I have no clue what reality comprises. I am just extremely sure that monotheism, polytheism and most other organized religions are not real.
Religion, in its accepted definition, is a subset of an infinite set of possibilities. Atheism is the belief that religion, in its accepted definition, is not real. I am an atheist.
