I don't like hearing people curse around my girlfriend or my children or loudly in public for that matter. Does that mean I have the right to make them stop, I do have the option to stomp their ass if they don't stop once I warn them but, that's not legal. When you vote it's what?..Majority We vote on nearly everything in this country. I say put it on a balot & then we'll see what the outcome will be. I'd have to say it'd realisticly be something like 50% against, 20% for changing it & 30% not showing up or giving a shit then bitching about it after it is decided. That's the american way. If you look at this in another perspective, "God" is a generalized term, most other religions have a god or gods they warship (except athiest). It doesn't say under jesus christ our lord our savior. Aaaaanyways........I think I'll step back & let someone else develope carpal tunnel for a while! I'm confident that it will get shot down in the end anyways.

Anybody remember the athiest leader Madilyn Murry O'Hair ?
She was nowhere near the majority, in a time years ago when religion was even more ingrained in our schools,
but she got the Supreme Court to rule School Prayer of any kind to be unconstitutional.
Just like Happy remembering first grade having to say the pledge, I remember having to say the Lord's prayer, in an elementry school, in a highly Jewish neighborhood!
The constitution protects minorities from being run over by majority rule.

And that will probably be the final resolution with this issue as well.
I'm betting the Supreme Court rules if a student wants to add the words "Under God" that they can,
but it can't be school/faculty sponsored/endorsed.

johhnyo, the puritans were the first to come here and they were christian. children need religion, they have no values today. christian children are less violent and troublelsome than non christian children. it is a fact of society. they act like the little atheist and what ever religion children are put in harms way by hearing the good children recite the pledge and do what their parents taught them. the stupid liberals act like it is the equilivant of having a homeless man come in and jerk off on their heads. there is nothing wrong with forcing them to watch the other children prey, maybe they will learn something and conform and we will all be better off.

I thought there was a seperation of church and state. and these are public state run schools we're talking about. so it's very easy to see. Remove the Under God part and then there you go. I prefer "Under the sea" instead of "Under God", because living under the sea would be pretty cool.
