I have a friend who helps me with my training but he lives far away and we really never train together...... and well I don't think he is into helping me as much anymore.
I think he brought me as far as he could so this is my situation.
I am trying to loose like 10-15pds dam it's so hard these pds are stuck on me like glue...anyway he helps me with diet but It's not working so I think it may be my training....
I workout 6 days a week weights cardio I am very dedicated but I just wanna see more results that I have been seeing anyway ..... my friend said I need more intensity...

I think a trainer will help and I have a trainer in mind....

What should I be looking for in a trainer as I want to scope him out more before I commit to him.

I have been working out on my own for a while buttt I believe there is always room for growth (learning) sooooo..... please any suggestions are welcome

Thanks Guys CC:bawling

Can you post a sample of you diet? It could be little things in your diet that are holding you back...finding a good trainer is not an easy task to do!! There are tons out there that dont know what the fuck they are doing...Whoever you have in mind..keep an eye on them..watch how they train and look for clients to talk to...see what kind of results they have had...watch their techniques..style...see if it is something you could use. You dont want light high rep training I will tell you that...someone that is going to push you and make you go heavy and hard...if they are good trainer you will NOT like em during your sessions..your gonna hurt..and dont get one that talks the whole session and is just full of gossip and not worried about your work out....

Basically you want someone that has good credentials and will beat the shit out of you!

CC -

I agree w/ new -- I've been thru 2 -- first one was actually better than the second, though I paid a SHIT load more for the second, but both screwed me over when I needed them. You may be more comfortable working w/ one right now -- its definitely something that adds to your knowledge & experience (good or bad) - but take advantage of the resources here too to educate yourself. Ultimately you will need to understand what you need to do to achieve your goals - a trainer should only help you fine tune it. If your goal is comp I HIGHLY recommend looking for an EXCELLENT trainer, but if you are just looking for someone to help you reach your goals, its less important. But in both cases, ask around, get some references, etc. When you decide to go w/ one, always ask if things don't make sense to you and dont' stop asking until you get a satisfactory answer. I didnt' find elite until I was well along the way to getting fucked over so it was too late for the particular competition I did, but I've learned a shit load since - particularly the importance of having your OWN knowledge

If you have been doing things and you are stuck, the most logical thing to do is examine what you are doing and tweak it a little to help stimulate your body to begin responding again. So let us at least do what we can here while you are looking for a new trainer!

What is your current diet & training regimen?
