By EVERYBODY'S argument re: money (and PLEASE be a logical person when reading this, not the typical meathead sports fan), the Red Sox bought the Championship.

Simple as that.

If $ = wins, then any time Team A beats Team B, and Team A has a higher payroll, then Team A bought that win. This is by using other peopl's logic. The Red Sox had SUCH as higher payroll than any team besides the Yankees when they won it.

Then they bought it.
