just dont smoke. i dont see whats so difficult about it.

All the more reason for you to not say anything, Poohead!!!

If you haven't been there, then don't comment.

It does matter and unless you have been ther then keep your comments to yourself. I never smoked at all when I was younger as I had to be fit with all the fighting I did. I actually smoked a spliff before I ever had a cig at 21 after reading about it, finding out it wasn't that bad for you and watching Arnold smoke one at the end of Pumping Iron.

Trouble was I liked the spliffs but got slowly addicted to the tobacco I was puting in them. Then I lived with a smoker for 4 years and ended up smoking cigs all the time. It took a few attempts and a lot of willpower but I managed to stop them. I still smoke weed with very little tobacco but not cigarettes. The only time I get tempted to have one now is if I go out and have a drink but that isn't very often - say about once a month.

Hardest part was when driving and on breaks at work. I stopped having breaks and instead sat at my desk eating and used sheer wilpower and a lot of chewing gum to stop me whilst driving. It was bloody hard though and although I'll probably still smoke weed, I will try and never get back into the cig habit.

easy bro.... no patch with me.. I just realized this shit tasted bad

I quit 2 weeks ago and I haven't had one since. I planned to do it while I started a bulking routine. So I eat and eat throughout the day. Works for me anyways. When I quit smoking it makes me very, very hungry for almost everything. I have a stash of stuff in my desk and I basically nibble all throughout the day.

Gum helps a bunch too. Sugarfree Extra cinnamon is my choice. I go through about a pack a day (of gum).

I feel great! I'm telling you just keep strong because you will feel much better as the nicotine filters out of your body. My workouts have been more intense and I know now that smoking has hindered all of my gains. I can't wait to see how much better my gains will be now.

Good luck and just stick with it. There's worse things in life. Like cancer, strokes, heart attacks and a limp dick.. all of which can be caused by cigarette smoking.

MooseKnuckle, r u a smoker?

It is never easy for most ppl to quit smoking like what u had said. need lots of determination n will power with the aid of medication.

No slam intended, but if you have never been a smoker then how are you qualified to say how easy it is to quit? Studies have proven that nicotine is highly addicitve. If it wasn't then the tobacco companies never would've created tobacco with higher levels of nicotine.

Anyways, yes most of it is in your mind (like anything else) but quitting cigarette smoking isn't exactly easy. It is hard work for most.

Bro, I quit smoking the first of October last year, I was smoking 3 packs a day and had for 28 years. Like some of the other bro's said it just takes willpower. I loved smoking, but it started to affect my workouts so it became any easy choice...The only time I really want one is when I go out dancing and drinking....

its easy to stop if you really want to. they arent addictive. you just get used to doing it so stop doing it. no big deal.

Not addictive?!?! Put down the crack pipe, brotha! :worried:
