Ok, before anyone yells at me - I am on a crazy busy schedule with work, commute 1.5hrs each way and have virtually no time for planning. Therefore, here is a typical day:

6:30am - 2 Scoop Whey Protein Shake in 16 ounces skim milk, 1 cup oats
56g protein/70g carbs/620 cals

9:30am - MetRx Protein Bar, Special K Wheat Cereal Bar
32g protein/52g carbs/420 cals

1:00pm- 8 ounces chicken breast with olive oil, 1 cup brown rice
40g protein/40g carbs/510 cals

4:00pm- MetRx Protein Bar
32g protein/32g carbs/330 cals

6:00pm- Train

7:00pm- 1 Bottle Gatorade, MetRx 51gram protein shake
51g protein/48g carbs/460 cals

8:00pm- 8 ounces chicken, 1 sweet potato
40g protein/51g carbs/580 cals

10:00pm - 2 Scoop Whey Protein Shake in 16 ounces skim milk
56g protein/24g carbs/410 cals

My goals are to build muscle without gaining bf%. No, I am not trying to bulk and cut at the same time.

What does everyone think?

Thanks!

What is the breakdown for all of that? Cals/Protein/Carbs/Fat.
What are your current stats? What are your EXACT goals?

It doesn't look like you're trying to bulk and cut at the same time, but understand that to build muscle and gain NO bodyfat will take a very, very, very long time - especially if you're lean already. Sometimes you have to make the sacrifice and gain a little bit of fat for that muscle.

P.S. Nobody's going to yell at you for being a busy business man, but "no time for planning" is where you're setting yourself up for trouble! :p Just hope that JKurz doesn't get his hands on this thread!!!

I am currently 5' 8" 177pounds, 12%bf. As you can see, I am not that lean (abs visible) and have aquired a little fat in eating this way. I feel that eating anymore than this will add more fat. I would like to be 185-187 with the same bf% by June. That is my goal...

Thanks

Totals - p/c/f/cals?

Roughly - 300/300/70/3000-3300

My first instinct is that you're right on the money with your macros and cals as well as the timing and breakdown of your meals. I'm sure people will come up with some nit-picky things, but on the whole I would say it looks decent.

How long have you been eating like this for? Is this new and you're wondering if it will work or have you been doing it for a while and you're looking for a change? I'd say this is a good place to start as far as eating goes... from there it's all in the workout :)

only flaw I'm really seeing are the bars.......mix up two shakes before work of oats, whey, skim and flax.........drink one first thing and replace your bars with the other....nothing but fillers, sugar, and gar-bage.

That was my impression as well...I fell that my numbers are on, but the lack of whole food doesn't seem to be a good thing. i always fell tighter when I eat in these quantities but rely on whole foods rather than supplements...
