Plane just went down!!!

I'm an aircraft mech and I only know of one incident where an engine departed the plane.It was a DC-10 in Chicago in the mid-late 70's and it was a maintenance fuck up.This shit just does'nt happen! My hunch is that it was sabotage.

I just checked the cnn web page. The word is that they suspect there was an explosion on the plane.

How about TWA flight 800 in 96? Accidents still happen, yes. If it wasn't an accident, then WTF was airport security smokin that day.

I just heard the plane was to take off at 7:30 but was delayed till 9:00.

Delays at the airport are pretty common. In fact most of the flights I've taken in recent memories had some sort of delay. Usually just 15min or so, but a few times it was 1h+.

i hope it is not an accident. don't take this the wrong way. i hope it was terrorism so all these fucking "peaceful justice" people at my school will finally see the light and the fact that the TALIBAN HAS TO BE DESTROYED. There is no excuse for an air accident nowadays. Especially one where "the engine fell out" is the excuse. If it was an accident, we have only ourselves to blame for the ridiculous loss of life. If it was a terrorist, then we would see that this "sit and wait" mentality is just going to get more innocent people killed. I don't fucking understand the femenists here at cornell commie university who are like "women in power!!! ra! ra!" then they're like "can you spare any money for the afghan refugees?" Don't they understand that the Taliban is the worst anti-female government to ever exist? I keep asking myself why they aren't collecting money for tragedies on the home front. dude, you heard about how that nepal guy recently got into the chicago airport terminal with a 9 inch blade, other weapons, and an expired visa. All the security I've run into at SF are old FOBs who don't speak english well and have failing eyesight. Not that I've ever smuggled anything, but I know people who get by with stuff all the time at these places. Until they take some drastic measures, I haven't seen a major major improvement in security yet, just longer delays.
