Pinz Disapointed

Yet to see anyone post up pics of the bad ones. I would like to see what you guys are talking about. I have used GPZ for a long time and never any problems. As far as the pin touching the side this may be due to poor shipiing practices or a droped container etc and many getting pressure applied uppon/ smashed. Just my 002.
I hope someone can post a pic, as im not expecting any any time soon.

This is the case with some of my pins. Yeah the needle is straight but if it's mounted at an angle, then it goes in at an angle, causing all kinds of tissue damage.

I've had some where the tips were bent. Those are the ones that hurt like hell going in.

Also, I noticed it the 25 gauge pins alone that are the problem. They are Terumo brand. The BD syringe and needle are fine, but I use them to draw with then discard them and put the 25 gauge Terumo on for injection.

Take it easy bro, some of us cant just whip out a needle and syringe at the kitchen table and take a pic. These things are a delicate operation that take time, if you get my drift...

My guess on the sub quality pins is that they're the rejects/throw aways from some major RX supplier's quality control dept. They're likely meant for resale at a reduced rate for vet use in 3rd world countries or something? However, I'm sure they won't be too particular about who actually purchases them so any shmo could open up shop selling imperfect darts online at full price. Caveat Emptor.(buyer beware)

Let me clarify what I meant by "bent". I have around 25 23g 1.5 terumo syringes with needles attacched. If you take some of the un-opened ones and hold em up and look at em you can see that the end of some of the needles are just about touching the side of the protective sheath. When you open them and rotate the syringe you can see that the needles are not straight. Either they are bent , or the metal part of the needle is straight but it is not mounted (glued) in the plastic part 100% straight. This may just be due to variances in the manufacturing process. (I hope) Other than this the pins are perfect. They are made in usa & have a lot # that could be checked. I hope I did not add fuel to the fire, but when I saw the word "resharpened " I almost shit my self..

I went to walgreens and bought one piece BD syringe & needles. Upon inspection I found that they had the same issues. I noticed that you can move the sheath sideways without opening the package and this will make the needle close tho the side of the sheath even though it is straight. So in summery the terumo's I got from gpz look about the same as the bd's I got from walgreens. The bd's may be a little nicer (better quality control) than the terumo's , but most people expect that. But the turumo's I got from gpz are fine. Sorry if I alarmed anyone. Also I have to say that I recieved my package from gpz in 2 days, so they have good service imo.

I used my androusa ones yesterday-smooth sailing-seemed like a decent quality product. The only thing I thought was strange was the box the were delivered in. It was shaped like a box a nice shirt would come in-not a cube like I expected.

I've had a few needles that were CLEARLY bent at the base of the needle. I still injected with them because the shaft of the needle was strait.

I have had one tip that was bent and it felt like i tried to get a ballpoint pen in my leg. When I pulled out the needle the tip was buckled over completely.

I haven't had enough problems to stop me from ordering from getpinz however.

I got an order from Androusa in the Fall..... Every pin is of great quality, and I work in a hospital and take blood daily, so I know what a good pin looks like.....

Hard to believe they don't even bother to tell you what brand the products are on their site though.

I'm sure they purchase different brands in bulk reguarly so it doesn't make sense to advertise any particular brand.
