They have a class at my gym, but since my knowledge of Pilates was non-existant I thought maybe I'd try an instructional DVD at home first, so I sorta get the idea and don't embarass myself TOO badly.

I was still embarassed, at home, with no one to see me. lol

I understand. I do Yoga in the privacy of my home. I can't even take a cardio class at my gym. I'm probably the most uncoordinated person out there.

How do you find Yoga compares to Pilates? (I know nothing about either, so forgive me if that's a silly question)

I'm pretty inflexible too & very uncoordinated.

Keep with it -- I improved on Pilates significantly after doing it about 3 times. Still not as flexible as them, but I can do the moves & follow along....

get a pilates strap if you dont have one...look it around your feet while sitting and "pull" yourself down

The first time I did Yoga was at that camp I went to in jan. and as I was doing it, i was like oh this isn't so bad, I'm doing better than I thought. Well.......then I saw te video clip my sister in law took of me I was freakin' terrible, probably didn't help that I was doing this right next to Wendi West, Miss Fitness Universe 2004

When I 1st got the entire windsor set, I tried all the tapes without reviewing any of the basics and was like OMG, I must look hilarious....Still have yet to do any of the classes at the gym... Have a great weekend

Don't feel bad... I remember the first few times I did cardio kickboxing... wow........ it just takes time , just keep at it!
