i can't really think of any negative aspects to it...great way to meet people...my chapter is in the process of losing it's charter due to severe destruction and dysfuntion.

brother, that kind of stuff really sucks, its hard to account for people who are completely disfunctional members that have forgotten that they are service organizations. i think it totally rocks to help the firemen out with stuff and clean up peoples yards when they are incapable.

and from seeing them function in 2 different schools, i can say that it varies alot from campus to campus, and from what friends have told me about other chapters.

Where i pledged most of the kids were cool as fuck...a little juiced up and we fought, but we always had the better parties and good looking hoes and we had lots of respect. We were pretty much underground so we were able to get away with alot of shit and mostly chill and party instead of being gay and active in the community all the time (like some chapters)

When i transfered to my current school i tried meeting the pikes but they were all herbs(mostly kids born and raised in miami) and their pledging is an absolute joke. the entire greek system is a joke and they don't even really party even though they think they do.
lame but just goes to show that just because a fraternity has a name, the stereotype or rep won't always carry. (although alot of pikes juice from what i've seen and hear loll)

epsilon phi spring '01.

we fight every pike chapter besides the oklahoma chapters wherever we go in our region. it seems someone always feels 'justified' in starting something. once it was talking trash about pledge programs.

i pledged with 7 other football players when i pledged. until the mid 90's at this univ we had baseball players also but a new coach tore that up. at the school i go to the pike chapter has a tradition of academic and athletic excellence. 2 buildings on campus are named after pikes.
