who uses them, do they work, i was just reading on some other forum about how they actually do work to some extent.
 
No they dont work. You'd have better luck working up a sweat and asking women to sample your smell to see who is attracted to it.

Most likely you will be getting picked up by some raging homosexual who is drawn to your pheromone

When in doubt, try it out. Let us know if it works for you. I think it will be more of a placebo confidence boost. You should buy some, and mix it with an ugly friends cologne and let him use it a while. See how it works for him when he has no idea he is even using it.

pheromones = designer steroids

yes they work, but each one is different so the effects etc. are different.
 
well ur first study is only about one pheromone product, not all of them.
btw, di-dehydroepiandrosterone is there own special made pheromone. if u google just dehydroepiandrosterone youll find its DHEA, now the Di- in front of it means that its a double bond of DHEA

the second study u posted is fake because there is no brandine university.
 
but honestly, is it getting that bad that you are now contemplating using chemicals in an attempt to attract ladies? (actually i suppose you could say that about some aas users!)
 
hey if they get me more girls why complain, im sure if a guy gets 10 girls a day, and then he gets offered a substance that will get him 15 a day, im sure he would use it.

and steroids i believe have a effect on your pheromones themselve possibly making them stronger, so u get more chickas

im sure if a guy can pull 10 girls a day he's really not that bothered about splashing chems on himself to pull anymore. they're more for the guy who cant get any girls at all and is starting to get desperate.

you could have the 'strongest' pheromones in the world, but if your a tosser, you just not going to get laid.
 
i dont use them, i was reading on them and found it interesting. i also read that it makes you the big dog around males, and they give into your demands even if you are smaller.

think about steroids, they increase testosterone and other hormones, and androgenic steroids have more of a effect. these can have a affect on your pheromones, your pheromones change depending on your mood and condition. if testosterone makes you more confident, your pheromones will produce a different smell
 
There is something to be said about the 'ALPHA' male. There are certain traites that women will go for, inorder to weed out the 'weaker' genes. All for the sake of mating, and producing strong children. But, there is some truth to the pheromones...

I wouldn't rely on chemicals to get the girls, after all if the 'pheromones' wore off before the end of the date? LOL You'd be stuck with the bill, and broken hopes.

It more of an action on animals where they emmit scents to attract a mate.
Peacock and certain primates come to mind.
However this science as far as I know has not proven to have any effect on humans. I would need to read recent work

That whole Alpha male thing does hold true though. But, that's all you...
I've seen guys get girls, and sit back and say damn how the hell did he land her.

Personality, looks, success, sex and money are the five basic traites, and anyone one of them can correct for a lack in any of the others. Some guys have more of one that can comp for the rest, most guys have atleast two working for them, lucky guys have three or four, and the really lucky guys have all five.

It's all a matter of working with the tools you've got.

Scent also plays a strong role in it. Remember girls have 5 senses also...

There has been some really interesting work done relating smell/phermones and the MHC (major histocompatability complex) or also called HLA (human leucocyte antigen), which is basically what identifies us as 'self' to the immune system.

It is also thought that these markers are related to our phermones.

When they do an analysis of the HLA in people, they have found that we are the most attracted to those who have the most different HLA than us, or that their immune system defenses are very different, so if offspring are produced, they have the best chance of fighting off infection.

When they have done these 't-shirt' scent tests, this HLA difference also correlated to the phermones.

So we are attracted to people who have very different immune systems from our own, and our immune system is more or less ready to make a million different combinations of bug fighting immunoglobulins from birth.

A couple of other interesting things about this.

- it is thought that kissing evolved so we could get close enough to smell someone to see what their phermones or immune system is like

- when women are pregnant, their preferance in scent changes to liking people that are more like them immunologically, or kin. The impact of birth control pills, which do sort of mimic pregnancy may have something to do with why so many women 'go off' their partners when they come off the pill to get pregnant, or after children and they don't need to be on BC pills any longer.

A males sweat actually puts off a sent that attracts women. It is a scientific fact.

There is no evidence for this hun, and if it was true, not just any male sweat would attract any female.

Most sweaty men put most women off if you ask them, unless of course he is YOUR man or a man you fancy :)

I agree not any male sweat but I make many a girl horny when im a little sweaty.. I am not stinky though when I am sweaty more of a masculine scent.

when i smell a womans sweat, i find it to be very unatractive, like if someone was running and they come up to u to talk, it smells pretty bad.

i guess i need to start sweating more

The second study was a complete joke. I believe it was intended to be by the writer as well.

As I said, buy them and try it out. See what happens.

If they really worked it seems as though many, many more people would be using them than actually are. I think it might be to the point where when I go to the bar I (a great looking man) would not be able to get a woman because they would be all over the ugly guys with the pheromones.

I know of guys who have tried them. They have said that they do not work for them.

You need something that enhances your own natural scent or phermones, not what someone else thinks might work.

Exactly, as an example I wear Fahrenheit. Yes, it's kinda old school but, with my body chem. it works well. I've been told it's 'my' scent, and when that girl smelt it any where she right away thought of me. I've gotten that from pretty much every girl I know. That the smell is very clean, and not over stated.

So, when you go out to buy something to enhance your own natural scent don't just get something that is popular. Find what works for you. If you have friends that are girls/ladies/women ( I tend to call females girls in pretty much all ref., I'm just less formal that way) have them help you pick something out. Believe me they will love doing this, any chance to dress a guy up, etc... they will hop right on it. You will get a more honest, and acurate opinion on what works for you.
 
i actually dont wear any cologne. i find it gives me headaches and is to overpowering.

i do however have a secret deodorant that i wear. and i tell u the ladies love it. usually people dont smell it until they come close to me, and they love it. i get compliments all the time, and guys ask me what i wear. but its my secret. u can find it at most any store that sells deodorant tho, so im sure alot of people wear it than just me, but not to many.
