Pet my Goldfish...

Big Rick Rock

istrator
We have some goldfish that my mon gave my son when he was 2yrl. He is about to turn 5 and the fish are alive and well.

I'm sure they are just use to seeing me coming over to the tank to feed them. But when I come to the tank and stick my fingers on the water they come up and nip at me or bump into my finger with their little heads...

We had the two for a while, then we added a third(I won it at a town fair.)... Now that I got a bigger tank for my kid, we added another 5 fish... Only the two original goldfish do this, the new ones get scared and swim away when my hands touch the water...

Pretty cool. I love those fish.

It seems like it, they are HUGE and looking really nice. We never added any treatments to the water or anything. We changed the water once per month and fed them a couple of times per week. I mean we neglected them at best... They still flourished, nice fat little fish... One thing we did do is keep a live plants in the tank, whenever we would forget to feed them they would eat the plant...

I like the fish.

Good stuff.

We have one goldfish we were given at a birthday party my daughter attended. I think it was 3 years ago at least. All of our friends who went to the party have had their fish die a long time ago, but not our little "Goldie" as my daughter calls him.

We have her in a bowl and just change the water like you said. Feed him (almost) daily.

He almost died a couple of times when changing the water and it was tyoo cold, too soon to put him back... and another time when the bastard, no good, damn butcher plumbers contaminated the air in our house while soldering the copper pipes in our basement. I'm so glad Goldie survived that episode. He was upside down for a while, but he came to eventually.

I may have accidently dropped test in his bowl.

i'm sure you meant MOM, not MAN.

right?

i've had a cat for 2 years. want to pet it?

wow, I won a goldfish at a fair and the thing was dead about 1 week later, lol. My poor son!
Funny as it sounds a lot of goldfish do that. Mostly the jelly headed type, they come right up to the surface and let you touch them. I think it is cool, lets the kids have a whole new experience.

hell at the state fair here, you don't win a real goldfish, you win a minnow.

OK #1 NEVER wake your wife up in the middle of the night to ask her "Honey, remember that gold fish that was given to us? How old is he?" NEVER do that, trust me.

So I found out it's over 4 years old now. It was given to us 4 Thanksgivings ago. I don't know how old it was when we got it. lol

Next thanksgiving, at 5+ yo, we plan on eating it. What? It tastes like chicken.

I had Oscars when I was younger. They ate live goldfish for meals. We'd buy 10-20 goldfish at a time and feed the fuckers some every so often. Yeah, it was expensive, but the goldfish were called "feeder fish". I guess they were a minority or something. Fucking bullshit system.

I had a 30 gallon tank. It was pretty nice. Ehhh. i was young and stupid. My parents bought it for me. I never kept it really clean. I'm such an ungrateful fucker. Well, now I am, but back then, I wasn't.

goldfish.

Goldfish are known for polluting the water really badly (they poop like crazy). Those plants you put in must me doing a really good job of oxygenating the water.
