I dislike when people yap on their cell phone for personal reasons at work.. Often they talk louder into their cells then they do a regular phone and you hear the entire conversation.

What do you guys do with your personal cells at work?

I Turn mine on vibrate and if it starts to bounce i check it out and if it's important i call back from a land line.

What is your opinion?

I keep mine on vibrate, and decline the call if it's not important.....

Mind you most people don't get the damn hint, if I don't answer the phone between the hours of 9 to 5, I'm probably busy at work, and should avoid calling me back 5 times in a row.

Sorry still alittle annoyed by yesterday's incident with the damn phone....

why do you keep it on at all? my thinking is always that if the only reason you are going to answer your cell at work is if it's an emergency or really important, wouldn't that person have your work #?

as soon as the person is done on the cell phone go to them and continue the same conversation.

I have my phone at work.. sometimes I have reception sometimes I don't....

My kids have that number memorized..and its also an emergency contact number for me... sometimes the work lines are just busy..

Also a few very dear to me have that number and when I get those call, no way am I gonna pass being able to talk...

Next time, call their cell and politely ask them to "Please shut the fuck up".

If that doesn't work, place cyanide in their next cup of decaf.

I don't like getting calls on my cel at work...looks unprofessional, IMO. I've been known to do the occasional text message, but not constant.

If someone needs to call me for personal reasons, I give 'em my desk number.

You're right...But I do other work outside of the office, and sometimes these people need to get in contact with me, and don't have my work number.

Give me your work number so I can crank call you.

Thanks in advance.

The only thing that kills me is that some of the women come into the bathroom to talk and I just wonder what the person on the other end thinks when they keep hearing flushes in the background.

One lady who seemed to be talkign to a customer brought the conversation into the can, did her business (and continued to work on the customer's business), flush, wash hands, back to work.

I have mine at work for booty calls, but if it rings during work, I screen it to see if it's an important booty call or not. If not, I igg it until after work, if it is, I call them back on a land line.

I put mine on vibrate and keep in next to my nuts for a couple hours while I call my number over and over and over and over....and over and over and over and over.....and over and over...oh yeah...uhnnnn.....over!

Fucking annoying. If I get a call that's important (I keep it on vibrate, and inside my special place, BTW), I'll leave the office for a second and return the call. Only if it's like ... a doctor's office, for example, who doesn't have my work number on file.

When I'm in class or at work, I leave my phone on silent or vibrate and check for missed calls after class or on my break/lunch and call back then if it's necessary.

LOL, I was working from home last Tuesday, and a vendor called me on my work cell while I was finishing up in the bathroom. He had asked me if he was interrupting anything, and I said "No" as I was flushing the toilet.

That should teach him to call me on my work cell.

No way you can beat the ring tone that the accountant here has...

"Baby's got Sauce" G Love and Special Sauce...

Imagine hearing (blaring loudly)

My baby got sauce
Your baby ain't sweet like mine
She got sauce
Your baby ain't sweet like mine
She got sauce ....
That's some funky lemonade you got going there babe
Is it special for me
Did you make it today
I'll always stop by if you like me to

LMAO....

If you were calling I'd answer it no matter what - anyone else can leave a messsage and I'll call them back when I'm damn good and ready.

PS - Please lock me out of your pic gallery - can't seem to stop myself

PSS - taking up a collection to get CanadianCutie a 4.1 megapixal camera - any takers????..... sorry CC - too much test ;-)

1) put on vibrate

2) get an in-ear thing with headset microphone

reason landline phones are quieter is cuz people speak INTO the handset. So the voice mainly goes into the physical handset they're holding. With a cell phone, they talk pretty much straight foreward and the voice travels everywhere.

get a small headset thing and talk into it and it becomes much quieter and your voice doesn't travel as far.
