I know it's not a big deal for you animals, but today on the bench I put up 352 for 3 solid, and one more with teeny tiny tug at the bottom from my training partner.

Did heavy Hammer pushdowns after that and got 330 for 8 before my shoulder said "Smoove out, cheffy, smoove out."

Again, its not a monster day for you vets or powerlifting types, but it sent my motivation throught the ROOF!!

that is a great bench bro, I just hit my best last week, which was 365 for 2 sets of 5, so I;m not very far ahead

Dude, that's very kind of you, but even my fucking eyelids are sore after that! Two sets of five even at 160kg feels like a long way off... :)

I have been hovering working at 140-150kg on my hearviest days, 150kg being the top top end for what seems like ages... and it all just came together: a week off solid because of my move, eating more, sleeping more... and WHAM! the weight just kept going on and 160 just happened. I think that if I had set out to hit 160 the mental would have shut me down.

One of the trainers at the gym walked by after the last set, stopped, looked at the weight and winked at me, "Light day today, eh?" We both let out a hearty laugh after that...

I was using the hollow plastic 'demo' set of weights... no wonder it felt so light...

lol... except or squat doms, i love it.
today, drink a lot of water, take some tylenol, massage the muscle, and stretch.
if you have powdered glutamine, take a tablespoon in the morning and another at night in a glass of juice- that helps me a lot.

Both pineapple and papaya juice are excellent for the inflamation from doms: the papain enzyme is the deal, I think, but check with GD on that one. Chronic oral administration of ginger root is FANTASTIC for it's anti inflam benefits... i have a script for Votaren Rapid, a lovely NSAID that does the trick USUALLY unless I do something assinine like put up 10kg past my PR and let the final rep down realllllll slowwwwww..... so far all of the above are working hard on keeping me from moaning out loud at work.

A massage.... grrrrrrr.... I would LOVE a massage.....



I just realized that my anterior delts have apparently fallen off and ravenous weazles on Angel Dust have taken their place... also, that wee place where the pecs join the sternum? I decided to just light that place on fire... must feel better that way...

i can only dream of that much weight right now. its just insane to think of pressing anywhere near 2x my bodyweight even once. k for being a huge M.F.
